The only one I would have guessed is Fitzgerald...

    Not Colt.

  • On where Mayfield may be:

Nothing definitive...but a few clues to support Ohio:

Apparently, in one episode, Ward Cleaver said he was originally from Shaker Hts.

Eddie Haskell had an Ohio St. pennant in his room.

Someone in the show is often going on business to Cincinnati

Lumpy gets a football scholarship to go to "State".....and that the team involved had a chance to play in The Rose Bowl. In those years that meant only either Big Ten or Pac 10 schools.  And at the time...only Ohio St. and Michigan St. of the Big Ten were "state" schools.  And only Washington St. or Oregon St. were Pac 10 schools (neither Penn St. or Ariz. St. had joined those conferences yet)  And what of these 3 schools really had the best chance to play in the Rose Bowl?

In one show, Wally's high school football team plays "Cleveland High".

But, of course there are other hints that indicate that it could be elsewhere....but more point to Ohio than anywhere else.

  • It was based on Mayfield Oh as the blueprint per se.. But I had thought they put ILL  behind it.. I could be wrong of course.. but thats my recollection..

  • The theme is future QBs coming into the NFL. doh Arnold(Darnold), Rosen, Fitzgerald, Rudolph....

I hope that helps people to resolve the questions. I have no clue.

  • Here is a set of trivia questions.   There IS a particular theme running throughout these.  Lets see if you can pick up on it:

    2. Who was the long time denizen of Spandau Prison?

    3. Who won the AL MVP award in 1953?

    4. What arms manufacturer makes the T-Bolt .22 Long Rifle?

    5. Combine Homer Simpson's favorite word with the pig from Green Acres

Nothing I read ever said that.   It is all speculation.  People argue about it being in Wisc. Maryland, Conn.  Washington or Ore.

They basically rule out the south...due to the accents...and most of New England.

  • What I thought was the easiest question was:    Who sang "Its 5 O'clock somewhere"       But...apparently not....as only that and the  medication question remained unanswered.  (and I thought that was the hardest)
