Well if there was a place I would think he'd want to stay at long-term, it would be where he's at now.
But his relationship with Stanford and the 49ers isn't exactly a secret.
The 49ers front office and some pros that thigbt he was working them too hard, like Boone. While other pros like Gore loved the guy.

I'm still looking for it, but I recall reading something (I think when he took the UM job) alluding to the fact that there wasn't many upset people at Stanford when he left. I did find this tidbit though...

It makes him a great coach at a place in the short term, but it’s why he’s a disaster of a coach when he’s in one place too long."
Don't get me wrong, he's an excellent coach. But he's hard to work for/with.

Yeah maybe they should have. Honest to god when okorn threw that ball i was like oh no woody!! Haha. Cause ur the only michigan fan i know. It was that cringy....both me and my old man were like ouch. We both felt bad it ended like that. Would have preferred michigan go down swinging, not on a bed shtting like that. Painful.

My skin the game is an ascendant michigan program. Osu has gotten stale over the years with little to no comp in the big 10 and they got exposed badly in years past playing teams from other confetences. I want games in the big 10 to mean something since college football evidently cant figure out a way for teams in diffetent conferences to play each other more.
If we regularly played bama, auburn, clemson etc, etc....no i wouldnt fukking care. "Then" i would want in conference games to be cake. Things staying ad they are, more teams in the big 10 need to come up.....and it does look like they are.

Meyer is a superior college coach vs Harbaugh. It's not even close. Not a knock on Harbaugh, but Meyer is phenomenal
He's one of the best of all time. I think he's 3rd for total win percentage and bowl win percentage. His teams have been dominant every place he's coached.

The big 10 east is the best division perhaps in all of college football with Ohio State Michigan Penn State Michigan State at Cetra.
