    Never.

We are having Gordon back next week, we want to stay positive. Don't wish on a Kizer injury.

WTF are you talking about TROLL

I'm pretty sure that you match the description of a troll more than I. Is a TROLL overwhelmingly positive and true in their assessments? Does a TROLL come up with legitimate answers for the most compounding problems that we've faced since the return? Hmm?

So a troll offers solutions while everyone else says- Dumpster Fire! Fire everybody. Fire the owner! Our players SUCK. Our TEAM SUCKS. Nah, not me homeboy, I find ways to win- just like Kevin Hogan.

If saying the most outrageous dumb Sheet that you would think a 12 year old might be thinking then yeah you are very positive.

OK, you want a positive? Deshone Kizer is not the worst quarterback in the NFL. Cody Kessler is. It's one of many reasons Hue- just trust  me- needs to be gone. But thinking Kevin Hogan is going to ride in on a white horse and save the Browns is crackhead thinking. PO.

  • Positives? It can't get any worse, surely.

Step one of the recovery plan involves the crook Jimmy Haslam getting arrested and sent to jail where he belongs.

  • ONLY positive is that we get the No. 1 draft pick.  Hopefully we get rid of Hue, Sashi and all the rest of the garbage.

  • Kevin Hogan was amazing in his brief time that he got. Other than the 2nd Quarter of the Texans game he's done EVERYTHING right. I would like to see what he could do with an entire offseason and starter reps. Hogan to Gordon!

    - Pick Barkley and Ridley in the first round of the draft and we'd have an offense to compliment our defense- and that's how we'll win games.

Hogan/Barkley/Gordon/Ridley/Coleman/Njoku/DeValve - I could win more games in half of one season than Hue has in won in two.

  • Positives? Well I think we know the characters that can contribute going forward, it's CRITICAL that the BROWNS FO drafts very wisely in 2018 there is some good talent out there.

Oh positives for the fans? Hmmmm. Well we get to ponder things like:

Who is your go-to person for NFL Draft analysis?
    • 12% ESPN's Mel Kiper, Jr. (87 votes)
    • 6% ESPN's Todd McShay. (45 votes)
    • 42% NFL Network's Mike Mayock. (293 votes)
    • 5% NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah. ...
    • 2% CBS Sports' Dane Brugler. ...
    • 7% FOX Sports' Walter Football. ...
    • 1% NBC Sports' Josh Norris. ...
    • 4% Bleacher Report's Matt Miller.

    Nice link, eh? 😆

  • Myles Garrett (when healthy)

    Corey Coleman (when healthy)

    Schobert has played well.

    Ogbah (when he was healthy)

    Some scrappy DLinemen.

OL is one you can work with.

Njoku looks like he has a solid future in the league, Peppers is getting better.

I'm not going to mention veterans with limited contracts like Duke, Crow, McCourty etc. because they will all be on another team or retired by the time we get good.

    2024?

I would add Kizer for this last 4 games. He played poorly against Jacksonville, but that defense is top.

He will have to fight for the QB position next year, but at least he hasn't kept failing miserably at everything like the first 7 games.

Wow... actual thought put into a post, Z. You must feel lonely... allow me to keep you company. And I will mention vets... who only need to be around until they are relieved.

    Offense

    • Bito... in a word, He's-back. #5 PFF OG, 84.7
    • Joe... he'll be back... and he's still great. #2 OT, 86.4
    • Tretter has stabilized our Center position. #12 C, 72.4
    • OL is a solid building block with a year under its belt.
    • Our TE future looks bright.
    • The 2016 WR experiment, i.e., every pick after Coleman, is near its end.
    • Duke flashed "star potential" in his role... increasing both his ypc and ypr averages.
    • We know we can't count on Kizer developing into "the guy".

    Defense:

    • Gregg Williams...
    • We found a solid, #1 CB in McCourty, and confirmed our slot man in BBC and a functional #2 CB in Taylor.
    • We found a solid MLB in Schobert... and that we need to upgrade the position and MLB depth.
    • We established a very good, run-stopping DL rotation with a pass rush upside that needs to be supplemented.

    STs:

    • 47.3 yd punt average, good for 7th in league.
    • Top ten kick return average, 23.4 ypr.

    General:

    • We've set value of our "name" 2018 FAs: Crow, Meder, Vitale, Reiter, and, yes, Hogan... and we are fixing to see Gordon, who I still am not sure will be a FA...
  • What Tour and Z are both saying is that it seems that this team is not quite so talent deficient as it appears.

I have said that all along.   Yet...why can't they win?

Well.....they play badly at times...like...at all times... relative to the talent they possess.   They can't seem to make a positive, winning coaching decision.  The culture of losing hangs over this team.  Maybe they need a Voodoo Priestess or an Exorcist.

It wouldn't hurt if they could stay healthy...which they can't.....ever.

  • More like losing does not mean a complete absence of bright spots, Gip.

Offensively we are lacking at the skill positions, QB, RB, WR.

Defensively we are missing an FS, coverage LBs and a complementary pass rusher.

That's a lot to overcome... but not a lot to address in one offseason.

  • We don't lack as much talent as the record says. I'd say that if the entire league and analysts and all expect you to have at least 4 wins in a season looking at your roster, and you go 0-11, then the coach isn't doing his job.

BUT, the main problem, is that we lack talent in KEY positions. Lacking talent at QB, WR, and RB is like trying to play with your hand tied to your back. Anyhow, I repeat the coach should be able to overcome this situations and get some more wins.

I think we are seeing, or at least have seen, this on the D-side. But with losses of Collins, Ogbah, Ogunjoby it's gotten tougher.

O-side? Not so much, but the youth, inexperience and lack of polished skills is a much higher barrier... and that was before we lost Joe T.

One thing in common on both sides? No quit...

Yes indeed.  There are talent deficiencies as some positions....but certainly not at all.

But, again, the question is:  do we trust THESE guys to be the one's to address these deficiencies?

A lot of these deficiencies are caused by this groups pathetic talent evaluation skills.  On the other hand.....a number of the "bright spots" were also these guys choices.

But...if they are at best 50/50 with their talent selections.....quite frankly my dear, that just ain't damned good enough.

And notice this:   the best players on our biggest rival are at those positions:  QB, WR, RB.    In my opinion, 95% of the talent gap between the two teams sits right there at those spots.

Oh...and at the HC/OC spot unfortunately.

  • Other than "this season's performance will get [insert name] fired/traded/cut" or "first round pick in next draft"? What positives have you seen or can still be salvaged?

are you Shmucking nuts...positives...they did not win a game yet...they are 1-26 under a moronic coach who again, like all the other past coaches, looks clueless on the sidelines....there are still no leaders on this team...and by the way, if you go back to pettines last yr, i think they lost the last 5 games of the regular season....1-31...1 and Shmucking 31....are you kidding me...that has to be a record, not even the bucs were this Shmucked up....yikes....
