  • We're expected to get a real cold shot of winter next week.

My advice to Hue is, he may want  to go for a swim before the lake freezes up.

Or do something smart for a change, like wear ice skates when he jumps in the lake in 2 weeks.

It did look like from some of the shots during the Ravens game- the Lake is starting to freeze up. They better have lifeguards on duty- I've waded into some glacial runoff in Wyoming, and your legs start to instantly go numb....

  • so is that what hue said ? if he went 0-16 he would jump in the lake

if so then hell yes he should

  • He said he'd jump in lake Eerie if they went 1-15 again.

  • He said he'd jump in lake Eerie if they went 1-15 again.

Well, he's safe cause they're going 0-16........ He's smarter than he looks I guess.

Some of the best tasting water on earth I have had right from the stream of the Rocky Mountain runoff in early summer. Supercold and clean beyond description.

I was going to send this as a PM Ag, check to see if your mailbox is full....

Ha- you reminded me of (probably my last) major climb back in 2012 when the nephew asked, and I said why the hell not- let's go on an adventure before I get too old to do it.  After a few warm ups on Harney Peak in South Dakota, and Medicine Bow in Wyoming we took on Middle Teton. One of the few Tetons you can get to the top of without hauling ropes and climbing hardware along. After a few misadventures not taking the proper route up, (including landing a 300+ pound boulder on my leg & foot in a Class 3 section)  and a couple more on the down climb (one of which involved getting in a drop off couloir with the glacier underneath us- and we didn't have ice axes and crampons which would have made it a breeze) then had to upclimb a few hundred feet and traverse to finally get on route.

We had started at around 6AM, it was now around 4PM, and we were flat out of water. Ran across one of those streams you mentioned. Joe was leery- but I told him- I don't care what you think, drink up and load up everything we have with water- you're not going to get dehydrated on me. I've had maybe two tougher days in my life, but never one where I was so beat up. Teton rock is like sandpaper (why rock jocks love it) and I pretty much turned my hands and other body parts into hamburger from assorted slips and falls. We finally got back to the car around 10:30 picking the last 4 miles of the trail by flashlight.

Maybe McKay will take the dive for Hue. I hear he's partying like it's 1999 now that he's no longer the worst in history.

I thought you were referring to Sean McVay  (it is McVay no...no McKay).....and isn't Sean McVay his grandson?

So, I thought originally you meant Sean...because the Rams won the SB in 1999.

    I think it was John.

Well, if that's the case, he should still do it for 0-16 and help the Special Olympics. He could use the demonstration of humility and the good-spiritedness of helping the Special Olympics.

  • Well, 76% of you are getting your wish, and as suggested he is trying to use it as a rallying/bonding thing:

"When? It is going to be at my convenience, and hopefully, I could get a lot of people to come out. It would be something that we are going to make special."

Jackson didn't mean special as in yes, the head coach of the Cleveland Browns wants to celebrate the special moment he confirms he's only won one game in two seasons. He means special as in let's make an event out of it, possibly raise some money for charity in the process and use it as a point to reinforce that he and his team never want to be at such a low point again.

How many think things will get even weirder next year?

I think you have that confused with Goal Line.😆

So he can wait til it warms up. Smart.

  • He never said he would jump in the lake if we went 1-15. He said "I know me, I know this team, we won't go 1 - 15. If we do I'll be somewhere out there in the lake.

He was making a joke that if we went 1-15 he would get thrown it....a al fired.....a la hung from a tree.

He was not offering to jump in the lake.

  • He’ll get thrown in as black uncle Fester and come out as Steve Erkle saying “did I do that “ after his 2 years here

  • First D(r)own Browns!!

  • Hue joking about this is on par with the time whats -his -name claimed he was the "Third Stooge" succumbing to the three stooges jokes of Cle fan base. Hasbeen promptly fired those fools as that was the straw that broke the laughingstock's back. If Hue's jump in the lake comment is followed by action that should be so embarrassing he's pinked instantly. If not Hasbeen's lost his last ball, or is now so downtrodden he doesn't care. So far Clueless has no problem making the phrase a reality. Plus he said he can't swim which I called. What kind of moron doesn't learn to swim their whole life?

I stand corrected, BUT.............. he did not say that in the original conference. That was my point.

Can the fans set the parameter for the dive? I want to see a 10 meter tower jump- now that takes balls. I get antsy on the 3 meter springboard.

As far as learning to swim, there's plenty of people who have never learned. I didn't- until I was well in my 20s and took a Phys Ed swimming class in college. ( I sort of float like a brick, and damn near drowned when I was a kid) As opposed to my wife who's a fish, and could have qualified for the 880 free in the senior olympics if she had put her mind to it.

PS- welcome bamwa, I just might have to start referring to Has-been. I've said for weeks we should start a Go Fund Me page to get Hue a wet suit, now it seems we need to add a life jacket to the request.  🙂
