so much bs. Venezuela fell apart because:

they went the way of liberal "democrats"....

socialist. They thought the oil revenues would fund a socialist society.

It fell apart. and the dictator was ruthless in the failure.

    http://knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu/article/how-venezuela-fell-apart/

Read carefully, and you see the path we were on, was obaMao/venzuela.

entitlement promises that could not be sustained.

political tolerance went by the wayside - there is the left AGAIN. there is clinton/obaMao/deep state AGAIN

It mentions a gov owned and controlled Supreme Court. - there is the left again - activist left-owned judges ignoring our Constitution

Flake is a wanabe deep state leftist - he is part of the problem

Venzuela was ruined by socialist democrats who who got control of intel agencies/supreme court/the military, and industries...

and that is exactly where obaMao was trying to take us. He put his corrupt sombeitches in places of power, and the left controlled them. FBI/CIA/State Dept/DOJ/ and they did nearly anything they wanted to keep permanent control. But Trump and Real America foiled that and it is being dismantled, and found out by investigations.

However you have ignored the fact that Chavez first tore up the free press and then tore up the constitution to get himself reelected (not allowed in their original constitution) and then elected again without limits in rigged elections. Without a free press he locked up his opponents if they did not escape through exile. He locked up and censored TV, radio and newspaper owner/operators until he had absolute control of the information going before the people. It does not matter to me what the politics are behind the tyrant, what matters is whether they are far left or far right the first thing they do is get rid of opposition and criticism. Going after the press is always the first step. Like it or not Hitler did exactly the same thing and had enough good people keep their heads buried in the sand to eventually become the despot he was. Same with communist Stalin, his polar opposite politically.

A fool and his democracy are soon separated. They always buy someone else's bill of goods first. That is what you have bought and nothing more.

The press deserves to be called out for their liberal bias. Much of the mainstream media should be getting a paycheck from the democrats as they carry their water for them. That kind of advocacy journalism and cheerleading for one party is not good for a democracy either. Trump like any other president is constrained by the constitution and he does not have any authority to close or censor the media. Mocking and criticizing the media by Trump has probably resulted in even more unfavorable and biased coverage for Trump and not in shutting anything down.

Comparing Trump to Chavez is crazy.

However, you have ignored the fact that obamao had little respect for our Constitution. We can post at least one major quote to that.

It's obamao who put activist judges in place that ignore the Constitution at the left's whim. Right now, it's obamao and the left who control the vast majority of the msm. We don't have a free press across the board - so much of it is owned by the radical left - soros, leftist big corps. Now, obamao is dissing the free press - Fox News. It's one they do NOT control. Hitler, castro, mussolini, stalin, putin,

Mao, obaMao - those are the ones who seek to control industry, health care, our legal system, our intel services (kgb style)...

and tried to force open our borders. NOTE: democracy in Venezuela was brought down by  cloward-piven - burdening a free society with entitlements and expenditures that cannot be sustained, and then let it crash, so the left can take over and dominate forever.

That was obamao. that is why the UN's mmgw. that is why taking over health care, promising everybody who wants it a free ride...

          etc etc etc etc.

               Then there is gun control.

However, during the rule of Joseph Stalin, he enacted a strict gun control system, especially in the Ukrainian SSR. During the first ... https://freedomoutpost.com/gun-control-dictator-style-tyrants-who-banned-firearms-before-slaughtering-the-people/

now, we come to the left in America. They want to take our guns. ObaMao/dirty holder... "Fast and Furious"

they blamed American gun owners for violence in Mexico.

then they ran fast and furious to make it look like they had to get their way with gun control.

I see the Trumpettes are once again ignoring the point of the post. The Republicans in Congress are saying all these things and you keep your heads buried from the truth of what they are saying. This man is a liar who cannot be trusted with this democracy. He has systematically worked at dismantling every foundation upon which it stands starting with the 1st amendment. They can't even come up with solutions because he can't be trusted to keep his word from one moment to the next. He tells them to present a compromise plan which he will sign and then when they bring it to him he goes back on his word.

All I see from any of you are side issues that have nothing to do with telling me what you actually think about the issues raised by McCain and Flake concerning Trump's assault on freedom of speech. What do you actually think about what they said? I knew cal could be counted on to go off in the usual obamau crapola that has nothing to do with now. But what do you actually think about Freedom of Speech and whether he presents a danger to it or not as they contend?

Flake is anti Trump.  Has been from the get go, McCain also.  So I take anything they say with a grain of salt.  They are part of the Swamp.  And both will be leaving.  MAGA!

That's all you think? So ignore the message because of the source, but don't think at all about whether there is any truth within the message? I want to know what you think, not who you don't like. Those are two different things.

"There you go again". Nitwilly wannabe democrats McCain and Flake are not "all republicans". That is a knee jerk emotional response, but not valid at all. He is keeping all his promises so far - some still to come. It's only one year. Get real for a sec !

There isn't any "undermining foundations" LOL LOL LOL. Your ObaMao undermined out supreme court, the Institution of marriage in Real America, our Constitution, honest elections, our border secrurity, beyond reproach DOJ and FBI, and CIA...... When Trump speaks out against the pro-leftist media, he isn't bashing free speech. Your leftist media is what is destroying free speech. They will dishonestly malign anyone who freely speaks against the leftist deep state.

You grab onto mccain and flake like you grab onto pelosi and reid. they are dishonest, corrupt players.

This is like your Trump mentally and physically sick thing. all nonsense. no workee.

                        It's the pro-leftist

Off base, you are. But have a nice day reading this article:

                          https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/dec/19/anti-trump-left-threat-american-democracy/

Anti-Trump left a threat to American democracy

What the op-ed conveniently turns a blind-eye to is the left’s behavior since the election — and how they’ve been focused on delegitimizing our free and fair contest, because they lost.

On Sunday, Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman refused to say whether the election was “free and fair.”

The anti-Trump’s harassment against the states’ electors is also undermining our democracy.

Today, the Electoral College will meet, and Mr. Trump will formally win the presidency — but that doesn’t come without death threats, thousands of harassing emails, and for some electors, police protection, because the left is trying to coerce them into switching their vote.

Mr. Trump was 100 percent correct when he tweeted on Sunday: “If my many supporters acted and threatened people like those who lost the election are doing, they would be scorned & called terrible names!”

The mainstream media has largely downplayed the threats, and at times, has even given legitimacy to the effort. President Obama and Mrs. Clinton have not condemned the effort or told their supporters to stand down. The Department of Justice is sitting on the sidelines as threatening cases have been documented.

                          It’s hypocrisy at its finest.

Four electors told The Arizona Republic they’ve been hit with thousands of emails, phone calls and letters sent to their work and homes. Bruce Ash, Arizona’s GOP national committeeman, told the Arizona Republic the emails, “demonize me, they call me a homophobic, an isolationist, a bigot, a misogynist, and an anti-Semite, which is interesting because I’m Jewish.”

Mr. Ash added, “They are hateful. And for a couple of days I answered them by thanking them and then explaining to them that I felt I had an obligation to the majority of the voters in Arizona who voted for him … and honoring their vote.”

Pennsylvania’s electors are getting police protection because of the harassment.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “Thousands of emails land in [the electors] inboxes every day. Copies of the Federalist Papers and other books urging political courage are being mailed to their homes. They are even getting phone calls in the middle of the night.”

Elector Ash Khare, who estimates he receives 3,000 to 5,000 emails, letters, and phone calls a day from as far away as France, Germany, and Australia, told the paper: “I’m a big boy. But this is stupid. Nobody is standing up and telling these people, ‘Enough, knock it off.’”

And a Michigan elector has received a death threat, if he didn’t switch his vote.

Elector Michael Banerian told the Detroit News of the anti-Trump left: “You have people saying ‘you’re a hateful bigot, I hope you die.’ I’ve had people talk about shoving a gun in my mouth and blowing my brains out. And I’ve received dozens and dozens of those emails. Even the non-threatening-my-life emails are very aggressive.”

It is the left who are not accepting the election results. It is the left who is encouraging violence and undermining our institutions, by not condemning the harassment of the electors. It is the anti-Trump left that refuses to say if our election was free and fair because Russia may have leaked a few emails.

Yet, they still have the gall to call Mr. Trump anti-democratic. They need to take a cold, hard look in the mirror.

                            Right?

Trump is a capitalist, Chavez was a communist.

Jeff Flake learned at the hand of John McCain that if a Republican goes Rogue and attacks the president of his own party the left eats it up. He will be the darling of MSNBC and the mainstream left-wing media.

Hopefully Joe Arpaio will take his seat.😆 but like McCain oh, if he ever got the nomination the Democrats would hate him like the Mongoose hates the cobra and all this butt kissing will be forgotten.
