Check on 12.    NO on 13.

Buffalo is actually like 380 miles from NYC..which is a long way.   Boston to NY is 215 miles.

    I will give a hint....the distance is 164 miles.

and the answer is contained in some of your previous responses.

I am going to assume because you are a newbie with one post....that you cheated to get all these answers right.  As only 6A   13, and  one other HC are not right.

We do work on the honor system here.  Googling is cheating.  And coming out of the blue with all these correct answer seems suspicious.

Not Sorry for getting the answers right, mostly. Half of them were already out there, in this thread.

Lot of this stuff is basic knowledge.

Who doesn't know Joe Gibbs won with Theismann, Williams and Mark Ripien.

Like it wasnt blasted all over the tv that Kuibak won with denver, after playing for them.

Who doesnt know shula coached the colts.... and then the dolphins....

Guess no one is supposed to know who forrest gregg is

Or that Raymond Berry and Mike Ditka - The only two HOF Players who ever faced off as head coaches in the super bowl.

Like its some big secret Ken Norton was one of a handful of player who switched between the Cowboys and 49ers back in the day when they were basically winning everything. Just like Charles Haley did.

I will admit I looked at the list of super bowls to try and determine who could have been regional match ups, considering you had said the Pats and Giants wasn't the answer - but its not like i went to google maps and measured the distances.

Ive researched, compiled information and answered thousands of football related questions on wikianswers. Meh, why bother explaining myself - You think i cheated? get bent

It was the fact that this was like your first post ever on here and that you got nearly all of them right.  If you had been someone with some regularity on here....with whom we would have had various football conversations and would have had some assessment of your knowledge...that would be different. But just to show up out of the blue.   You should be able to understand the questioning of that.  While you are right that any good football fan would have known these....the fact is, we don't know you from Adam...or Eve.

Tom Brady and Charles Haley.  (Haley with 2 teams....Cowboys/49ers)

    2. Who is the ONLY player in SB history to have played on 3 successive  Super Bowl winners?  Hint: not the same as either player in Q1.

Ken Norton Jr.  Also with Dallas  92/93...and SFO  94

    3. Who is the only QB in Super Bowl history to lead two different teams to victory?

    Peyton Manning  Colts/Broncos

    Ben R.  23 years, 11 months, 3 days

    5. Who scored the most TDs in the Super Bowl in his career?  (all games)

Jerry Rice...8 TDs    7 with SFO....1 with Raiders.

    6. A. What winning SB QB had the highest Passer rating in the game in history?

    Phil Simms  150.92

    B. What winning SB QB had the lowest Passer rating in the game in history?

    Ben R.  22.6

    7. What QB had this statistic for his Super Bowl career:    83/122 passing attempts   -0- interceptions.  11 TDs

    Joe Montana....and 4 wins.

    8.  What defensive player had the most interceptions in a Super Bowl game?

    9. What defender had the most sacks in a career in the Super Bowl?  (all games)

    12.  What coach won the most Super Bowls with the most different QBs?

Joe Gibbs....with Theisman, Doug Williams, Rypien

    13. What has been the closest geographic matchup of teams to meet in a Super Bowl?

The Chicago Bears vs. the Indianapolis Colts.   It is 164 miles from Chicago to Indy.   There has never been an LA vs. LA SB, or NY vs. NY, or SFO vs. Oakland, or Balt. vs. Washington.

    See this chart:  http://www.nflfootballstadiums.com/pd-Files/Directions.pdf

Matchups that COULD be closer, but which have never happened include:  Ravens vs. Redskins.   Raiders vs. 49ers.  Jets vs. Eagles.  Jets vs. Giants of course,  Eagles vs  Ravens.  Rams vs. Chargers.

A Browns/Lions Super Bowl would be just about the same distance.

Other NFL matchups that cannot be Super Bowls...because teams play in the same conference..but are as close or closer than Bears/Colts include:   Eagles/Redskins, Eagles/Giants,  Browns/Steelers, Colts/Bengals.

Another geographical note.  Per the chart....Buffalo is actually closer to Cleveland than it is to Pittsburgh.

    14. Name the 6 Head Coaches who took 2 different teams to a Super Bowl...win or lose.

    Don Shula   Colts/Dolphins

    Bill Parcells   Giants/Pats

    Mike Holmgren  Packers/Seahawks

    finger Vermeil   Eagles/Rams

    John Fox  Panther/Broncos

    Dan Reeves  Broncos/Falcons

    15. Name the 3 persons who were the HC of a Super Bowl team....who are also in the Hall of Fame as a player.

    Raymond Berry   HC  Pats

    Forrest Gregg HC Bengals

Mike Ditka.. HC Bears   Ditka played for the Bears...but they never went to the SB when he played...thus his name does not appear in #11. But he IS the only person to be in the HOF as a player who won the SB.....Berry and Gregg both lost their only shots.
