Haley will have a say in the QB's and use his own playbook

The Browns Board

  • I saw him today on our local sports, talked among other things about leaving Dallas for a down Arizona team and watching them turn around, he sounded promising  (but don't a lot of people taking on new jobs).

Should be interesting. Oh I loved this quote from above link:

He won't give up on Kizer

Kizer has been compared to Roethlisberger in terms of his size and arm strength, and he made some throws last season that not every QB can make. But he struggled with accuracy and decision-making.

Haley cautioned that young QBs need time to develop, especially with most coming out of spread offenses.

"If you act or react too quickly making decisions, you could regret it,'' Haley said. .......

Kizer is pure Sheet... I wouldnt waste much time on him.. I just don't see him as a leader of men.. He comes across too "Kunty" to me...

yep, pulled off the route with lunch to watch this presser via phone & of course they were late😮 Haley could be the prize in this box of cracker jacks or the drunk at the bar with beer caps teaching formations to barmaids (not a bad idea if her last name is not Coleman)..Our Media people suck, sitting T-ball questions on the tee for Haley, screw that. Ok lets set some coffee fetter landmines...#1 and foremost we now own The Pit of Misery..Todd will be stealing Dilly! Dilly! at LOS from Ben.#2. The 1st receiver that can't run a 1 yard square in & run a straight line for a pick goes off to Haley for a foot in the arrsss 70's show style.#3. Simplify the play call time. The 1st 3 re-sets of dancing around of TE,RB,WR's with expiring play clock will get Haley Cream & Sugar for his coffee duties. #4. The only Bubble Screen we want to see is Hue Bubbling to the bottom of Lake Erie with that play in a bottle buried on the Lake's bottom..#5. Fire the challenge flag guy in the booth. than maybe that guy that can't find it.. rant,na, left over Valentine Vapors..

I listened to the interview on 92 The Fan while working at work.  (seriously, while working)

I like how, no matter how badgered, he would not say anything negative about any player on the team.  He used the excuse of not knowing the players well enough yet.

I like how he says that he builds his system to suite the strengths of the players he has.  I LIKE THAT.  Hue doesn't do that.  Don Shula DID that.

I like that he has scouting and talent evaluation 'trained' into him since he was young.

I like that we have two respected guys at the coordinator positions.  It kind of sets a tone of respectability for the team and organization.

And lastly, we now have two guys that could take over the team in at least an interim manner should Hue need to be canned during a season.

Just got done watching the new coordinators... I'm in love with this staff. Hue and the crew. Great cast of coaches. Football is coming. This thing is starting to feel very Monday night.

I hate that Ben couldnt get along with this dude. The Steelers are going to regress with freaking Randy Fictner as the new OC and the Browns will be a lot better on Offense because of Haley.

Haley didnt give Ben freedom because when Ben is free, like with Bruce Arians, he gets killed 60 times a season.

A QB away from a 10 + win season is what the Browns have in store in 2018. They'll probably get 8 with Kizer. I hope you guys finally get your franchise QB, because I hate the Ravens to the point i wish we didnt have to play them. Im ready for this rivalry to be reborn.

Good pick up with Haley. We'll miss him by week 6.
