Michel or Guice. Have not really watched Penny. Think we have to trade up into the low end of the 1st to get either of those two though. Barkley #1 overall is a mistake.

Give Penny’s games against Stanford and ASU a glance over. The kid stepped up against the better competition.

I would be happy with one of Michel/Guice/Penny with another back taken later. Duke is good at what he does but not at having to be a RB1 if the starter goes down. Scarborough, Freeman, and Ballage will be available later on.

This draft is stocked with talented backs, we have three 2nd round picks, and John Dorsey found the leading rusher in the league (as a rookie) in like the 3rd round last year. I trust him in finding us a back, and I also trust him to extend Duke. Let Crow fly away.

Well......rather than Monte Python...this is more of a Beetlejuice situation.  Or Voldemort.  You say his name and either the Ghoolie lookalike PoG/Beetlejuice shows up......or a bunch of Deatheaters do.    So, best not to say his name...unless you want to wade through PoGs drool.

Or, maybe that is what you want:  like You....PoG, and Cal all digging it together based on a mutual admiration society

Barkley will likely be gone by the time they pick a RB, but Michel, Guice and Penny will be there.

I'm pulling for Penny or Michel.

Well they passed on HOFer Ladanian Tomlinson- (zero Super Bowls BTW) and I was over it long ago.

Well....they MIGHT take him at #4.

And, no....I don't think it would haunt them....any more than having passed on like Bosa/Elliot/Wentz etc.

It would only haunt them if they passed on him...and he went to one of their AFCN rivals.    And considering that the Bengals draft #12...and Barkley is by no means likely to last that long.....it will not haunt them.

As, I am of the opinion that if they do pass on him...they will likely get a RB likely in round 2.  And from all reports....there is actually little difference in talent between Barkley and the guys that are ranked behind him.

In other words....one of them could turn out to be just as good or better.

The whole problem is the quarterback situation (with NO FA signing) if they take a QB at #1 they might miss LT2 or the next Payton or what ever they're calling the Penn State phenomenon now, will he make it to #4? If they pick LT2 at #1 will the QB of choice be there at #4?

Is Barkley really worth a #1 pick, probably not, #4 maybe but RB might be a real need position in Cleveland......sooner than later. -BUT- there are other stud  picks out there NOT QB or Barkley.....just see every other post I've put up over the last month plus.

Ghoolie even suggested it. If the G-men were amenable to a trade, here's what it would (realistically) cost. We move from #4 up to #2. New York gets our #35, and a future second. Deal? Anything more than that, I'd pass.

check the bears from #3 to #2 with 9'ers last draft..we'd be reaching deeper than those 2 picks..pass on moving up from #4 but from #33 or #35 could make sense jumping back into 1st round.(if they target a player)

He won't be available at 4. Don't be stupid. Barkley is the best player in the draft. Just like the browns were made asses of for picking the wrong guy at #1 #1, you can rest assured, I the browns pass on Barkely at #1, he will go fast at #2

You have no clue.  Browns  99.9% likely to take QB at #1.   Indy wants Chubb...DE....unless they agree to trade down to a team ...the wants one of the QBs.  Only question is Giants. Most say they want the eventual replacement for Eli.  Still most likely.....but even if that is not where they want to go ..(they have always been a defensive oriented team and may go for the DE.  They also may not consider any RB worth the #2 pick.

I think the chances are  75% that Barkley is there at #4......and 50% that they pass on him.  RBs are a dime a dozen..

I did just look up what the Bears gave to get Mitch. A third, fourth, and a future third. Going from #4 to #2, my second and a future second sounds about right.  🙂  It can't be ruled out the Giants will want to draft Eli's eventual replacement, and the Colts will either trade out of #3 to the Broncos- when they lose out on the Cousins sweepstakes, or just draft Chubb or  Nelson.

Jim Brown was the greatest running back of all time, and has one Championship to his name. Wasn't drafted #1 either. It's all about the quarterback stupid. Changing your tune this year?

Let me give you some insight from Boss Dorsey at the Combine. Saquon is the best player in the draft AT HIS POSITION. Here's the order of importance.

"Asked to rank the most important positions on the field correlated with winning, Dorsey started with quarterback and rattled off four more -- pass rusher, cornerback, left tackle and wide receiver -- that are directly related to the passing game." LOL if o-linemen are dime a dozen, running backs are worth around two cents.

Norman is quite a mover. Strictly an indoor cat, (dang, he's developing the build of Orlando Brown, now that he's been rescued) but I'll time him when he rockets up 14 stairs to the bedrooms. 🙂

The Browns have a QB. That they choose not to give him any weapons, and have a assivep, cowardly, Bernie-Marty style offense is not the kid's fault.

Barkley is the best player in the draft. Period. He is the best player and the Browns should draft him. If they want to take a young qb in the draft, they can trade up to #2 to get who they want.

Again, the Browns need to pick #1, #2, and then #4 or 5.     Barkely, a QB and a great WR, THey can trade next year's #1 along with Joe Thomas, Coleman, and Zumba girl in some combination to get the third 1st round pick.  1, 2, 4-5, then the early 2nd round pick..........RB QB WR  WR

Time to commit to winning and stop with the horseschidt OL, diamond in the rough bullschidt. Anything less, and this is ANOTHER failed draft, just like last year's was.

Buying the Barkley hype I see. He is not the best NFL level RB in this draft let alone the best player. His speed is negated by defensive speed and other runners are tougher after first contact than he is.

The Browns have a QB. That sucks, it's why we're drafting another one this year, AND bringing in a free agent QB.  That they choose not to give him any weapons, and have a assivep, cowardly, Bernie-Marty style offense is not the kid's fault. They threw downfield the most in the league IIRC

Barkley is the best player in the draft. Period. He is the best player and the Browns should draft him. Coleman might get us a 5th round pick if we're lucky. Dorsey ranks our Zumba Instructor second to only a quarterback in importance.

FWIW, we will be drafting a WR in this draft somewhere. BTW, I do think Barkley is talented. Enough to spend the #1 overall on him? You're not doing the drafting and neither am I. Dorsey gets it , you seem to have forgotten your mantra. Running Backs don't win Super Bowls, quarterbacks do. The last HOF running back to win a SB was Emmett Smith, over 20 years ago, and he had a stud Cowboys team to support him.

I will laugh my dago butt off if Barkley is available at #4 and the Browns draft someone else. PoG will have a stroke.

And Ghoolie will have to be revived from not getting him @ #1 and then likely resuscitated if we again pass on him @ #4.😆
