RIP Major Winchester

Didn't really like his character compared to the one he replaced.

One of the things I really liked about Mash when they replaced the character they found a different Avenue. Not just a retread.

I think the point was that you were not supposed to like his character....because his character was an arsebag.

So, I guess by that fact that you disliked his character....the writers and actors did a really good job, as that was precisely the point.

Only somewhat. Colonel Blake wasn't an pooper but he was a lovable incompetent. Major Burns was an pooper and also incompetent which made him worse especially in the movie. Winchester was a excellent doctor though arrogant. And I think his Charisma grew as the season progressed.
