  • Ok sorry but unless there is more to the story some of these trades are just trading for the sake of activity. This is a horrible trade if it is as reported. Bench depth is worth more than what we got and hes more than that.

  • This trade blows.

What did they get in return?

Nothing. Another draft pick that won’t make the youngest team in football.

So one year left on a rookie contract is breaking our bank?

another 1st round worthless wasted pick. Makes me sick.

friend of mine just said he read Coleman is next. Probably trade him for a pack of gum.

long term and do not quote me on this cause i am not sure how it works (money wise) but at some point you have to pay up or you can be in cap hell maybe Dorsey learned from that from his time in k.c and decided to be proactive as far as coleman who cares I mean what has he done for us

    That’s fine.

But we need CB help, Saftey help, WR help... what we don’t need is more worthless draft picks.

Find it hard to believe this is the best deal they could find for a guy that wasn’t a code red priority to dump.

  • The last GM valued draft picks very highly. This one doesn’t.

Haslam has gone from one extreme to the other. There’s no plan for this organisation it’s just try something and hope it works.

  • Poe? Coming soon

  • It's an unfair deal.. Shelton was a first rnder.. the trade is not equal value.. The Browns got fleeced on this one.. Watch Shelton make the pro-bowl next season.

  • A lot of conflicting reports on this one for compensation,. Rotoworld reports "Patriots acquired DT Danny Shelton and a 2018 fifth-round pick from the Browns in exchange for the Patriots' third-round pick in 2019."

Still a crazy deal IMO. Shelton is way better than what we received.

  • What the Shmucking Shmuck?!

You've now opened up interior Dline as a need.  Dumbasses.

Don't worry, we can pick one up at the bottom of the third round next year...

  • I have a feeling Ogbah puts on weight and they draft Chubb at #4

    they love Ogunjobi too

  • Don't like this trade... But I get it.

  • They must have their eyes on someone.

  • Somewhat of a head scratcher, but I'm not yet convinced this is finished....We'll see.

    Mike

  • Another first rounder flushed.

We've got two young, good DTs, Danny never blossomed.

Hopefuilly Dorsey starts a tradition of nailing first rounders...

  • Im fine with this trade.  its basically just getting rid of shelton, who was a dud.  nothing lost.

    Caleb Brantley

  • The new Browns FO clearly has gone through the roster and identified the players they felt didn’t play the way they expected or were not in their plans. This team needed a good house cleaning , let’s be real 1-31 says so. Free agency hasn’t yet begun and you people are freakin out over players leaving that in the eyes of the new FO may not be as good as you think they are

  • Browns give up: Shelton and 2018 5th rounder

Patriots give up: 2019 3rd Round pick

That's it? After yesterday what a letdown.

Are they signaling future moves or draft intentions, looks like the war room is busy already.

  • Brantley won't be the one trying to replace Danny - that will fall on Jobi's shoulders.  Provided he too, can stay healthy.

Either way, DT depth just became a draft factor.

  • for now your lining up with Coley & Ogun. With Brantley & Meder as 2's. Browns in Jan. picked up FA from Jets DT Jeremy Faulk..Was hoping like Canton Mike that Nate Solder was in deal till smoke settled..Danny was a Pet 3-4 DT that never fit Gregg Williams 4-3 front..Danny did force double teams with no help from left or right to amount to no collapse to center of pocket..The Coley last season performance may have made the move possible..like most i don't like the comp. on this deal.but Poe is out there with FA papers
