It would be cool. I was always mad we didn’t draft him.

I have extreme reservations about picking up the Badger. Doubtless he'll be released before the Cards have to pay his roster bonus.

    1) from Rotoworld:    Mathieu tore his ACL in Dec. 2015, and never looked quite right in 2016. Going on 25, Mathieu has torn both his ACLs during his four-year NFL career. Mathieu is a gifted playmaker when at 100 percent, but perhaps he'll never be quite the same again.

    2) He's undersized:  5'9" 190 (at best. )

Dorsey's not afraid to pay money- but to a pipsqueak with injury histories?  Fitzpatrick on a rookie deal is a better bet in my book....

Po, I know you liked the Badger in the draft- but really- get real. He's already had two major knee surgeries, he's undersized, one more blown out knee- and it's career over. Not worth the gamble.

So cool it. Here's what Jeremiah had to say about Fitzpatrick:  "Overall, I see Fitzpatrick as a dynamic safety on run downs and a playmaking nickel on passing downs. He's a bigger version of Tyrann Mathieu and I think he will make a similar impact in the league."

My take: Minkah is 4" taller and 10 pounds heavier than HB- doesn't have the injury history, and will be on a rookie deal.

If browns would have drafted him, he'd been rolling in the dope with Gordon.  He would have never grew up.  The Cards were the one place he could succeed.  They have a support system and mentoring program for those questionable players.  They pride themselves on having wonderful player development outside the football stuff.  With such mature pros like Larry Fitz who are so respected its a good place for those lacking maturity to get their act and life together.  Having to see the standard set and image of Larry Fitzgerald and Pat Tillman, I suppose makes one think more seriously about who they want to be.

  • As a cards/brownie guy.

TM is a natural defender. Yes he has lost a step but still defends well. He has a knack for the ball and if he doesn't take a pay cut.   He be gone and I pray its to the Browns .

If Dorsey adds honey badgers to Gregg Williams Winnie of poo-pooh jar the draft plan is wide open at 1 or 4 on the chess board..Look at the Colts depth chart. Look at what their losing at CB & S than tell me Minkah/ maybe Ward can't help M.Hooker back there as their #3 pick? Maybe the Colts are not hearing the offer it takes to get out of #3? I'd think the Giants or Colts would want out opting for OL at 5 or 6 only if Barkley is gone at #1? Seems Dorsey is in their heads taking Barkley #1?.Like Hue, Haley may also get a plate of leftover's of QB's at #4 for now..My guess, if Dorsey gets a chance to blindside these folks? It's Barkley 1 & Mayfield #4... No clue what Getleman may do? but your not up there to pass on Rosen while your up there..imo

    It doesn't matter.

He's been our best SS since Eric Turner

Why don't you ask to bring back Sean Taylor...but, oh, yeah, he is dead

Or, actually....you should ask to bring back TJ Ward.   He is still playing and is a UFA this year.

    There's your ticket!

For $$$$ TJ  would come back.   Other than Joe Thomas (and he hasn't made up his mind yet) ....I don't think there is anyone who is still with this team when he left...    And that may even include the owner.

Edit...in checking,   Haslam bought the Browns in Oct. 2012.   Ward was here for that 2012 season, and the 2013 season.  So...OK....Joe Thomas, maybe, and Haslam.  If TJ had an issue with someone, I doubt it was the owner. Besides, even if he did, that could be remedied.  All that would have to happen is that they would send Dee to go talk to him....and flash a little cleavage and cash at him....and he would be ours.

Two blown out knees already as Hoorta pointed out.. I'll pass... This wouldn't make sense as far as Analytics goes...

  • Or,  Dee and Jimmah could have their daughters (Whitney and Cindy) flash a little cleavage.  It can only be a little as I think that is all they have by all evidence.

  • why pay HoneyBunny so damn much money just to see how quickly he blows out his middle knee?  When you can just get Fitzpatrick on a rookie scale for 5 years and have a bigger better HEALTHIER version for pennies on the dollar.

I'm still firmly on the Fitzpatrick bandwagon, so yes indeed.
