  • HOOOGAN !!!!!!!!!

  • HA!!!! Dorsey knows this guy should have started last year. He won't start this year ahead of Taylor and that is fine. Kessler will be cut. He outlasted Kizer officially!! HA!!!

Dorsey is the one that drafted him back in KC, so there could be some bias regarding that decision...

I just hoped that PoG could swallow both pills (not drafting Barkley and cutting Hogan) at the same time. I just want the best for the man's health...

Good point.   So our QB depth chart likely to be:    Taylor/Rookie/Hogan.    Kessler aufed eventually....but we still pick up another rookie....likely UDFA.

    Litton....Marshall

    Benkert....UVA

    JT Barrett???

  • I'm with PoG. Hogan should have been last years starter.

He was given the job.....like 5 ints in a single half ended the audition.

  • I read this as Hogan resigns and I was happy about it.

Then I clicked in the thread and found out he had re-signed.

He was not given the job. Kizer was given the job. They stuck with garbage Kizer all throughout. Kizer got 15 auditions and Hogan 1? Come on. Well the man in charge now knows. Thats why Kizer is gone and Hogan is re-signed 😉

  • Poor PoG

LOL, actually he did not re-sign or resign:

In addition, the team tendered restricted free agent DL Jamie Meder and extended qualifying offers to the following exclusive rights free agents: WR Josh Gordon, WR Matt Hazel, QB Kevin Hogan, OL Austin Reiter and FB Danny Vitale.

They took the job from Kizer....gave it to Hogan.....then realized Hogan was worse....so they gave it back to Kizer.

And they kept Hogan because Dorsey drafted him out of college....and because they still wanted a 3rd string QB...and figured Hogan had as good a chance to be #3  than likely getting some UDFA.

But, I still expect them to get a UDFA...to compete with your Hero Hogan.

  • Ha. Hogan is not my hero. He was just the best QB on the roster last year. I'm sorry for wanting the best QB on the roster to start. Bad game or not he was the best. That is why he is still on the team and Kizer is not. He is not better then Tyrod Taylor though and yes he will be the 3rd on this years team.

Actually the entire quarterback situation was and has been a mess since prior to 1996 or after 1999 depending on your viewpoint.

Kizer with two years NCAA experience was thrown into the fire to fail with no real reliable recievers.

Hogan and Kessler not much if any better, maybe this new attempt at team building will be better.....with 10 picks to go.

0-16 or 1-31 teams have many holes not just QB A, B or C.

  • Yeah boy - BOOYAH!

Hogan is the man. With Gordon, Landry and Njoku, Hogan will thrive. Add in Barkley and rotate in Hyde, let Coleman and Duke compliment the starters... insane offensive potential.

He will thrive......he will be paid a fair amount of money for holding a clipboard.   I would not mind being paid the kind of jack he will be to do that job.

  • Well, this definitely means we're skipping a QB at 1 and 4.

  • He outlasted kizer because kizer actually has potential and other teams saw that and traded for kizer. You think the packers make that same deal for Hogan? Hell no

  • He's gonna have a nice paying gig for being the 3rd string QB.    The good money he will make should make it easy for him to afford keeping that restraining order in place against a certain overzealous fan of his.

Hogan is here because he's as cheap as they come with the ERFA tag. Please Mr. Dorsey- I'd love to sit in on meetings and hold a clipboard for $790k this year. I throw a mean 10 yard wounded duck.

And he will outlast Kessler too Po. so for that I give you credit.
