Kevin Hogan resigns with Browns

  • Who we gonna replace him with?  Since he resigned?

    or is it re-signed?

  • Hogan will not be on this team for game #1.

  • I could see us going with TT and the draft pick and both Hogan and Kessler gone ... If one sticks as a 3rd QB my money is on Hogan ... but I'd be happy moving on from both.

  •  I am hoping our third quarterback is someone like Mike White.

The Browns WILL pick up a UDFA....who Dorsey will choose....and to whom he will have as much loyalty to as he has to Hogan....and who may likely have as good of QB skills as Hogan....and they Hogan will be gonzo.

I say:   77.7% chance of the above happening.

But that would mean we would have to use a draft pick on him.   A reasonably high one.   Now that the Browns are down to ONLY 9 picks.....they may not want to do that in order to use the fewer picks we have on areas where we may still need starters.... or rotational players....and not 3rd stringers.

(notwithstanding that it sounds like a good idea to have a Mike White on here.   I think we will have one...just not White...who will likely be a mid round pick).

I see Po has a new best buddy...

... but he did draft Hogan. Determined to prove his 5th rounder was wisely spent?

It's a dangerous road to travel Tour. But I do agree with Po on one thing- Hue stuck with Kizer way too long trying to see if he'd "get it" when he obviously wasn't. We both witnessed the atrocity in Texas that was Hogan live and in person- but why give Kizer 10 mulligans, and Hogan one? Just because Deshone was a second round pick? It was almost like Hue had his marching orders- play as badly as possible to secure another #1 pick.

Because Kizer was the only one with the potential to forestall the need to draft a QB in 2018 and we had to know if he could. We found out he couldn't.

    It really is that simple.

Both Hogan and Kessler are backups at best and we already knew that.

  • F-ING Hogan could not read  defense in collage and has shown the same lack of ability in the N.F.L

  • This is really fukcking important. This Hogan guy is a real barn burner. he FA hotline was SIZZLING with talk of the many teams who were salivating at the thought of signing this trail blazer.

WOW....................another fukcing tree just fell out on the forest and only idiot Browns fans can hear it. Seriously, the Browns are back at it again........... acquiring assets and signing diamonds.............................. stocking the team with second tier players. Hogan blows. Drunks on Euclid can be signed who are better than this turkey.

I think the only person on this board who disagrees with you that Hogan is a wasted roster spot would be PoG. I have no idea why he was not just dropped already unless he is just there to keep people guessing about whether we are even taking a QB in the draft or not. Who knows. Maybe the new OC has a better idea on how to use him than Clueless Hueless.

He is really just a training camp arm...so no need to get your bowels in an uproar....to the point that they back up all the way into your mouth....or at least into your typing fingers.

  • I went to wika this fine signing & the only ones posting anything on this is... us on this Board🥷..Ha! I believe the going rate of this ERFA Hogan signing only cost us about $673K..So Hue, "you got to believe me on this one". Cody Kessler has to be Cut free of his Brown-ness..

That we are even talking about these turds tells you we are in for another challenge for 0 - 16.

$630k per overthecap... and none is guaranteed.

Kess' price tag is $924k with $332k guaranteed prior to June 1st.

So if it comes down to cap savings.... and I don't know why it would... Kess is still the cheaper retain. But I have a feeling... a bad feeling... that Hogan is closer to our new QB's mold.

Tom we got wins in the bag this year- how much you want to bet me 0-16 isn't happening again?

Woah Tour- how is $332k guaranteed as opposed to Zero guaranteed cheaper? Some cap hit gyrations I'm not familiar with?

    Because $924 - 332 = $592 and $630 > $592?

The $332k is already spent, h.

Yes, I got that- but Hogan's money isn't guaranteed, unless I'm mistaken. So $332K is > 0. That pocket change isn't going to be a factor who the Browns keep on the practice squad.

Kess is cheaper to keep since he gets the $332k in any case.... add Hogan's salary to that and the cost to the Browns is more than just keeping Kess.

I have no idea if either is even PS eligible... but no idea where that came from anyway.

In any case it is loose change in the grand scheme... and therefore I am out... #Sharktank

    DOn't be silly. 0 - 16 is a long shot even for the Browns. 3 - 13  =/- 1 win. That's what you have.
