  • Like I love listening to Kosar talk about football...the same goes for Joe Thomas. It's a disgrace that

the big sissy commish didn't hammer down on leading hits with the crown of helmets some years ago.

He was more interested in his tenure and paychecks, I think.

  • It is an interesting read and I've always believed the bigger the industry or business the more money involved the bigger the impact any rule changes or regulations will have on those involved.

An old superintendent of mine had a good saying "we all have our axes to grind". It's true.

    I liked this too:

.......Football’s a traditional game, and whenever you change a rule that sounds revolutionary, the reaction’s going to be extreme. Football’s a game that is really entrenched in tradition. All sports are. Look at baseball now, with people going nuts over the idea of a pitch clock to speed up the game. When a player hears you can’t lower your head to hit anybody, his first thought is, I’m gonna have to play differently. But really, is he? If you’re trying to look out for the long-term health of the players, wouldn’t you want to eliminate hits with the crown of the helmet. I think players will adjust.......

  • Joe Thomas should be offered to be part of these talks. Shazier was on him. Sorry it happened to a former buckeye. But you also have these jack'd-up-a$$'s looking for the Gronk lights out hit's too. Those head spears should have been called spears long ago but instead we make more rules😕. If your going to enforce this on lineman & RB's? Than they mize well sacrifice some of the speed of the game & go back to the bigger pillow shoulder pads hoping to keep head out of contact. RB's should be allowed to lower their shoulder pads for some kind of protection or this game will become the action of the pro bowl for 17 weeks. Hope not,the sit & wait is on God'dell
