Landry to sign extension

  • This is a great signing, he is exactly what this team needs ... talented, passionate, healthy, young ... GOOD AT HIS JOB. If Landry catches 8 balls for 80 yards to keep drives going while Gordon scores two TDS on 4 grabs and Nojoku 1 TD on three grabs ... we're winning that game.

This guy is a QUARTERBACK'S BEST FRIEND. We are drafting a quarterback #1 ... If I have to spell it out any further ...

If we signed a top LT to protect the QB no one would bitch about the money ... but we sign perhaps THE best possession receiver in the league to protect the QB ... and we overpaid because he doesn't make enough big plays. They all don't have to be "big" ... there's other weapons for that, but he have to start by in fact "MAKING PLAYS" big or small.

We're in the business of winning football games. This guy just filled a huge need so we can finally start moving in that direction.

    Duke Johnson? Bitch, please ...

  • Duke in the possession WR role is not far-fetched. He was our leading receiver last season.

  • Two things-

1- Landry was on a one year trial and then we would have to try and resign him. We basically are signing him to a 4 year extension for 10 million a year. Not bad for a guy that you won't have to question his hands or if the QB threw a catchable ball. If Landry don't catch it, it's on the QB.

2- Duke Johnson may or may not be here after this year. With Barkley starting Duke may not even see the field that much. Gordon, Landry, Njoku, Barkley and Coleman with Taylor's scrambling threat will be a nightmare to try and stop- but it'll be fun to watch them try anyway 😉

Do you measure the volume after you wank off to the thought of Barkley?   Per some accounts, the amount comes to about  10 cc:

No...not far fetched.  But probably half or more of his catches were made when he lined up in the backfield.  He can certainly still do that. And he would still be  decent run threat.

Duke is a third down back with one year left on his contract.

    Valuable player, sure.

Long-term WR answer for this franchise ... no.

YES.. the drunken bed-wetter who last year told us "Kizer is a great pick, he is a gamer", is now giving his schidt-lined endorsement to a $75 million dollar dink-and-dump WR that Hue Jackson chose to fit into his powerful offense.  Zomblow's endorsement talent.................The Barney Fife of football.

Hey Zomblow, why don't you challenge Tyson Fury to a fistfight, and then tell me he has to meet you at a Browns game?

Also, Jim Brown comes back to join the 2018 team and averages 6.7 ypc.  You need to design a fantasy video game and start getting paid for all your fantasy bullschidt.

  • I was going to respond with an actual argument but then I saw someone basically say Duke is just as good of a slot receiver as Landry.

I definitely don’t miss these scorching hot takes.

I would agree.. I don't think Duke is all that special , Honestly..... In fact.. I think he's an under achiever..

Calling Z  the Barney Fife.   Pretty funny.....coming from  the brother of Ghoober  and Ghomer.

  • Landry had 9 TDS last year to all browns wrs 7.

Browns had 290 first downs Landry had 68 himself.

Laundry doesn't even need to do anything special for his 15 million years either. Just put up the type of stats he's been putting up and the Browns will be a much much better team.

He's a decent player and no doubt one of the best on the Browns' putrid offense..... kind of like being the best Ford Pinto at the car show.
