Make of it whatever you will, but it is interesting. I have to imagine there are some pretty huge odds for things Browns related, I bet some of them will pan out. This is a first, for sure. It is nice not to be the joke for a change, but there is a long way to go. And opening day win will supercharge everyone.

  • This does not surprise me at all.  Was telling all of my friends to get in their bets last week. Get em in while the gettins good.

It's called August. Every team wins the best team award in August.?

Fact still stands that more people like our chance of winning more than all the other teams combined. That is an indicator of optimism in far more than just the Browns fan base.

eh, more people like our ODDS of winning- that's a big difference. I'm not gonna lie I'd throw a 20 spot based on what I've seen on the Browns to win the AFC based on the odds I've seen of 100 to 150/1.

  • I've said 100 times that I THINK the Browns will be much improved, but I'd NEVER bet on them, LOL!  Only a fool lays his money down on the Browns to win.

Last year the BROWNS were the worst bet ATS in the NFL, I think it was 4-12 regular season, they should be quite improved -but- remember oddsmakers don't really care who wins. So......

Indeed, the longshot bets available to us are mostly things only an idiot would bet on. If you are the type to bet it all on Black, then yeah, you can make a hit.

However, even stubborn old me feels the urge to move toward the light. The thing is, since I have always believed that the O skilled players are the majority of what a team builds success around,  the Browns, with Baker, Landry, Gordon, Hyde and others do indeed fill that package for me. Plus we have an OSU presence which always is a positive thing in my opinion.

With that said, the Browns will surely improve, I think the Steelers are still the best in the AFCN and they always seem to have new, out of the blue talent to stave off what he believe is their demise. But, Ben is war beaten so one never knows. I always say sports is more about emotion, drive, and discipline than it is talent. So then, my personal concern about the Browns 2019, is not about talent but about the other things that bother me, and as of yet have not been fixed in regular season. Execution, mistakes, dumb penalties and aggressive, play to win offensive style.

I just can't warm up to Hue in those arenas. As I said, I think he is a man of character, just not a man of fire. I always wanted the Browns to have a Bill Cowher type of coach, but eery man has his individual style. I think you would agree that if the 2019 team isn't measurably better, and I don't know what that means until we see the season unfold, I believe it would be time to find another coach. Surely, Hue can no longer blame other factors. He said on Hard Knocks that he owns it, it is his show. If he puts crap out, it's on him.

I am feeling that 28/1 bet for $100 and I rarely gamble beyond DK daily fantasy.

  • I kinda feel this says more about the other 3 teams than it does us... certainly says as much.

    Don't sleep on the Ravens.

Bingo!.. I was thinking the same.. They have quietly assembled a pretty good team... Not SB caliber... But, I was impressed with some of the preseason coverage on NFL Network. They have some no names that seem to be doing well.. But we all know.. The regular season is a different beast entirely...
