  • Starting this thread this morning,  as I think before too long....as early as this afternoon, the cuts will begin.  And what is the deadline for getting down to the 53?   Saturday at 4:00 I believe.   I know that it means that it could be as many as 35 guys currently on the roster that will have The Turk after them.   In fact, expect more than that, because it would not surprise me if that final 53 includes like 5 guys not currently on the roster, but who have been picked up after being cut by other teams.  So here we go....

  • A busy weekend of NFL moves is ahead. Reminder: the waiver claim priority is the original 2018 draft order, a valuable tool to add some young talent. First five teams:
    1. Browns
    2. Giants
    3. Colts
    4. Texans
    5. Broncos

  • What positions do you think that the Browns could pickup players from the waiver wire?    Last night on TV they speculated most about Linebacker.  I had said going back to the draft that I thought the we might need a backup OLB.

    Also...in looking at the NFL transactions list, I found a couple of anamolies:  On Tuesday, the Lions signed DE Robert Ayers, on Wed. the Lions cut DE Robert Ayers.  On Tuesday, the Bengals signed CB Darius Hilary.  On Thursday, the Bengals cut CB Darius Hilary.    Now....WTF is going on in those situations?   Any clue?    These are not these "sign a one day contract so you can retire as a Lion or Bengal deals, is it?

    If l understand correctly the “waived/injury” designation means the player can be stashed on IR if no other team claims them. I kinda liked Board and Currie so might be a way to keep them in the fold.
