*Finally, we stop wasting a roster spot on a terrible fullback. I can't remember the last season we weren't essentially spotting the rest of the league 1 roster spot.
*Who are darren fells and orson charles?
*It's great that devaroe lawrence won't give up, but I'd rather he have a quick first step and faster hands than the OL he's facing..
*Tavierre Thomas.. couldn't beat jamar taylor. Div2 AllAmerican, 4.38, that's great, but meh.
*over at PFF, Carl Davis was second-best DL in his draft class in pass rush productivity vs Power5 opponents. PFF had him ranked as a first rounder.

Fells is our #1 blocking TE, we picked him up in free agency. He's also athletic and can catch passes. Huge upgrade over Randall Tefler who is now out of football.
Charles was a mystery man to me too. Another blocker, has bounced around, Hue had him as his fullback in Cincy one year. Apparently at 6'3 250lb, he's the guy we'll use when we need a fullback.

I was sort of hoping the waiver wire process would give us some sort of math that showed how much improved our roster was, like comparing claims vs. cut players that other teams picked up. Last l see we are 5 - 2. Picked up 5 and other teams picked up 2.
Ideally that ratio would be flip flopped, meaning we are gushing with talent and other teams want our cast offs. Hopefully we’re getting there.

Yeah, I looked him up. I was confusing him for the DE/OLB from Oklahoma that wore #31.
Nice pickup though.

What are you catching? Hopefully you & the Browns snagged some dandies!

Does Puppy drum count
. wup Mike.. Once a year, my family of Jimmy Buffet gypsies scream 3 times.."There's a Hurricane coming! go save the Boat!" We lost one at topsail island previously while we were in OH(io) (Thanks Nationwide). The village idiots swarm like 2ft of snow hits OH.? Some solid friends left town in Emerald Isle, so the wife got a call to "come babysit the pets" SWEET! We pull 3 large cruisers to land & throw in some sound cruisers. Cruising the back reefs we hammer'd the Kings & spanish mackerel on planing rigs attached with spoons. I cut out yesterday to see how the 2 head boats did (princess/stacy) loaded with snapper & grouper but a 10 boat league had there own Mahi tourney..Man what a day they had..Ok back to winning some games..Go Browns!!

Possibly reported elsewhere, but Vitale cleared waivers and was put on IR.

A nightmare for play by play announcers.?
Could be worse.... could be a MLB double play combination...

Add in our two trades and we're 5-4!

Dunno Thomas and barely know Vallejo, but Davis is a beast in the middle and Odenigbo can rush the passer.
Don't know Neary either... small school kid from some directional Washington St...
Odenigbo intrigues me the most, because the Vikes are loaded on D and they were probably hoping to keep him on the PS just had no roster space. Sounds like he tore it up in Preseason.
And now we can unveil the Ogbah-Ogunjobi-Odenigbo DL. Ooooooooooh Ya.

That's O-some!
When there's over 90 guys they got to get down to 53 or so in 2 days - there's going to be at least few decisions worth shooting the shitttt about. I'll bring mine up and why I hope they had sound reasoning their experience at decision making led them to. They've seen way more than I have as a fan.
Yeah, you nailed it in your previous post about liking the guys leaving more because we're more familiar with them. It's also because we've invested time and training in a guy like Nassib who looked to be improving when we kept DE Chris Smith (who's shorter than Baker Mayfield) entering his 7th season instead who Cincy didn't mind losing. Traditionally, it's advantageous to have a defensive end with long levers and I wonder if that's the reason he never progressed enough to be starting material. And Reiter who's gained experience and some degree of chemistry with others on our line here is gone for a guy that wasn't even 2nd at C on the Rams depth chart. That said, a lot of FOs probably see Reiter as dime a dozen caliber. Meanwhile, Drango filled in for Joe Thomas last year and for injured OGs Greco and Bitonio on both sides of Center in 2 other seasons as well as played some strong side Tackle on unbalanced lines early on. There wasn't a RB that looked bad running behind our line this preseason. I just worry too much effort and possibly ego is going into prematurely chasing away some guys that have stepped up when we've called upon them because another FO person brought them here.
The GOOD news is that's only 3 guys out of the 40 or so we cut. Clearly, some of the guys we let go didn't help our STs enough to stick so that'll be a nice opportunity for some of our newcomers.

Really good take.
The Reiter cut raised my eyebrows too. I didn’t see much wrong with his play. If we had him the year Mack went down amidst a good season to that point l think that season wouldn’t have gone as sideways as it did.

Or take Joe Pesci's part in any upcoming Martin Scorcese movie due to his propensity to say "f u c k" every other word.
But how do we blackball his grandma from every movie theater?

Carl Davis fills the role the Browns had previously looked at Hankins for before going elsewhere.

And I think he'll be even better as a paired DT than he was at NG.
Also never hurts to have a little positive reinforcement...
Source: new Browns DL Carl Davis had the most teams submit a waiver claim on him yesterday (4).The Browns, Redskins, Bengals and Chargers all submitted claims, with Cleveland getting the former Raven.

It's upgrade time & I'm trusting Dorsey & crew!
Mike
Trust eh? You put out on the first date?
I like to raise the anticipation a bit. Give me something to get hot and bothered about. Moisten my panties a bit. Words and roster moves don’t do it for me. Give me wins and l’ll think about it baby...

Per Adam Schefter:
Bucs claimed former Browns’ DL Carl Nassib, per source. Financial advice for Tampa.
