Don't get over confident yet. James Conner is a good back too. We'll just see what happens Sunday.

As long as they don't get all unified and all that stuff it's ok, Bell is still one of the best RBs in the NFL.

NOW just go sack the crap outta' big ben.

I really liked CLE +7 now closer to +3 and TB +10',  LAC -3 maybe MIN -7 -and- BAL just to survive!

Two different things but yes he has potential.

And Mr. Woodman did you get your survival pick in yet? Last year I forgot to confirm week 1 and lost it......but still went deep.

missing Bell won't much matter..first, i listened to bells agent on sirius. a very sharp dude that should rep the players union. bell can holdout to week 10 and still collect a portion of the franchise tag..very well may happen, if bell wants to avoid injury risk on a team that rented him.(franchise tags don't work anymore).Conner maybe there every down back? But he still struggles catching the football. They drafted a NCST guy that i watched in Jaylen Samuels..This guy can catch & run..So in basic's. It's like watching Duke run on the field sending up a red flag to assign a body to him..slight advantage us, if bell sits?

With the Steelers O line, they can plug just about any back in there and get results.  Not quite as good as Leveon, but very close.  Just think about how patient Bell is, waiting for the hole to open.  The Oline is still the key.

The Steelers are worse without Bell, so that helps. The key to this game whether Bell was their or not is getting pressure on the QB and limiting the passing game. If we don't do that it won't matter who is at RB.

I'd like to point out something that Bell's agent very correctly stated. In these situations we always talk about why the player is a POS for not honoring a contract, tender, etc. The issue no one seems to raise however is that the owners/GMs by that very same argument get ZERO crap for doing the exact same thing. They cut players all the time (see Dan Bailey) and don't honor contracts but for some reason that's okay. But when a dude like Bell holds out for what he's worth, he's a scumbag. Extremely inconsistent logic.

Conner by most accounts was a 1st round talent before he was diagnosed (and MCL injury, to be fair). With Bell getting 406 touches last year Conner didn't have much of a shot to show his skills either. I would not be surprised in the slightest if he does damage (although I hope he doesn't, obviously).

Fair enough.  But, as Old Blue Eyes said:  "That's Life".   I would only ask this;  can the $850K that he is losing out on each game be donated somewhere?

Now extend that logic to someone who wouldn't make millions of dollars a season.

You and I don't have to work at a place that has the power to cut/fire us every day we go in... it's also possible to have a multi-year contract for your job.

Hint: All the whining you hear about how "many STEM openings exist" ... Exactly how many times have you heard the actual truth, which is that many companies simply aren't trying to pay the actual market-clearing salary to US citizens with those degrees?  People with those degrees are the smart people, which means that they're going to find something else to do to make more money.. and so that "job" would remain unfilled until the company steps up the compensation.

Yeah... in the vicinity of "good" a zip code Bell left behind him long ago.

If we can't handle Connor, it gonna be another long-a$$ season.

And DeAngelo was a very good RB...

Not sure where that belligerent rant came from, but I don't disagree?
