And FYI,   the term viking was originally  a verb  or adverb, not a noun, not really.  

Anyone who went on raids to acquire the lands, property, slaves, women were said to "go viking", not that they were "Vikings".   Though later use of the term was that people that "went viking"  became known as Vikings.
