The other comparison is Brees, I'll take either one. Just win baby!!!

     Comparing Mayfield to Graham?

Works for me. Otto was the greatest ever. And his records stand and are still relevant today. They did not end in 1970

True that. He was a gunslinger. I'd prefer a game manager that knows when to take risks.

    Nailed it...

Have I mentioned recently that Favre is the most overrated player in the HOF?

You mean the guy that Brees passed up in total career yardage last night just before he passed up that other overrated QB Payton Manning.??

    Rank Player Yds Years Tm
    1 Drew Brees 72,103 2001-2018 2TM
    2 Peyton Manning 71,940 1998-2015 2TM
    3 Brett Favre+ 71,838 1991-2010 4TM

  • TBH, the comparison I see with him BY FAR is actually current QB Matt Stafford. They play very similar styles of football, and that's not remotely a problem in my book.

wait, you mean Baker? I don't see that - Baker is way, way more like Drew Brees.

  • so now everyone is done comparing baker mayfield to johnny manziel? ?

  • I'll go with this one

Note that the #1 passer when adjusted for era and rules is.. The Otto of Graham.

Favre is below such luminaries as Rich Gannon.

My money says he'll always have the most total career interceptions thrown..

Oh....look,  White Tarkenton makes the Top Ten QBs of all time on all these lists.

So, you want your comparison....maybe Baker can become the new "Bearded Tarkenton".

I think there is some legitimacy to this.

You probably would too, after taking getting majorly busted up after a game.

I was pretty vocal pre draft that wasn't going to be the case. But sheeze guys, some folks are already so over the top on those memes it's plain nuts.

I know it's been so long since the Browns have had a decent QB, people have forgotten what one looks like. 🙂

Thanks.... my point exactly. The man cost GB many more SBs than the one he won... the one when Reggie White "explained it to him". It didn't stick beyond that one season.

And I loved this from the link...

One fun thing to do is to sort by attempts to see who stands out. Brett Favre ranks 43rd in era adjusted passer rating...

    Yup... over rated...

Or, the other way to look at it ....the proper way to look at it.... is that he got them to those Super Bowls and Championship games and won one, where without him they may not have even sniffed a playoff spot.

You would have preferred  Doug Pederson,  Ty Detmer, Steve Bono, Craig Nall?  Or Jim McMahon or Matt Hasselback?
