Do you guys know why he's not being used all that much?

Because the dude has no idea what he is doing regarding his blocking responsibilities.

    Amen.

I remember - pre draft - "He's a willing blocker".  That's fine....but he just doesn't FIND the guy to block.  He always flows to the wrong spot.

He's not gonna surprise anyone THIS week.  When he comes in the Ravens will be run keying him.

Isn't that the way it is in all sports you only sneak up on somebody once.

Then they start building a book on you and find out what you can and can not do, welcome to the big time college or pros.

You wanted Chubb to kick it? 😉

    Meanwhile back at the thread....

Hyde looked fresh today and showed why he's getting most of the touches.

  • Hue meant what he said in the presser when he said we need to give Chubb more carries

  • offense has no identity so it will never do anything really all that well. Put haley in a skirt on the sideline if hevrefuses to realize where he's a coach. This aint san fran

  • Offense also has no WRs who can separate... so there's that.

  • Sony Michel is getting 100+ yds a game.

No reason chubb couldn't do the same.  And how does Duke not get utilized more when all the wrs are injured

Michel and Chubb are two different types of RBs. Chubb can't catch or pass block.

I saw Hyde get blown up on several blocks.  Not like he's doing much better

Getting blown up vs completely missing the blocking assignment while protecting your blue chip first overall pick QB are to vastly different things.

There are not enough carries, period.

I did not see the game, but WTF giving a rookie QB 44 attempts? Yeh, you can expect 2 INT's from that. Baker is great and all of that but I would limit his attempts to fewer than 30. They limited Big Ben to 20 attempts for his first 2 seasons and the result was a championship.  I'm a Todd Hayley fan but he was wrong to give Baker 44 attempts.

I’m trying to take a positive out of all those attempts, that being the reps. Browns were playing behind and the chargers lead kept growing, so the mistakes happened. Hopefully he’ll grow from it.

How many sacks has baker taken? The blocking scheme right now is obviously doing great

    Sigh..... again.....

Sacks vs full speed blindside hits because somebody missed an assignment are two vastly different things.

  • baker held the ball for easily 7+ seconds on sunday. That obviously shows wr'r werent gettibg open. Most of those sacks were coverage sacks. Again, the lack of commitment to the run.......its why we lost as badly as we did imo. This ckearly is an offense built for the run-to-pass.....but haley, i just dont get him right now.

Baker should be adjusting the run plays at the los and pulling the ball back when he sees something. One of the smartest qb's in recent times and we're running sht like an urban meyer offense. Smh

I'm hoping they see how Duke played and decide to use him more. He's a different type of RB from Chubb and Hyde so if CLE can't pound it you got a RB in Duke who brings a different skillset.

I feel like this statement might as well be played on a loop, because it feels like we've been saying the same thing over and over.

Duke should get 10-15 touches every game. He's not a workhorse, but 10-15 touches a game is not a burdensome load for him to bear.
