    Some dumbazzes will believe anything.

"Just in the BROWNS were just purchased by an investment group led by Vladimir Putin, details at 6 pm on FOX News."  😆

That should get some traction, "not fake news".  😕

  • @stillmotion said:

I doubt that. I don't think Haley would purposely call bad plays to get Hue fired.

    Agree...

Some folks can't resist a good conspiracy theory...

... or even a bad one.

what i do not understand is if there was discourse in the locker room Why In The Hell wasnt it taken care of long ago ? why did they let it escalate this far ?

so ya something seems fishy about it

Lol Lincoln Riley wouldn’t coach this dumpster fire for $7 million per

He might or he might not.   Depends on how bad he wants to coach in the NFL.    You guys act like there's a million NFL head coaching jobs.  There's 32 of them.  No matter how good or bad a team might be, they are all desirable jobs.

If you want to say that "I coached in the NFL regardless of how I sucked" then you are correct the Browns job is desirable.  Riley is at a top 10 college program making $4+ million a year and after 5 years of success will be king of his domain.  3/4 star recruits fall out of the sky at OU and he's winning 10 games rolling out of bed in the weak Big 12.  The Browns job is so desirable here is the list of "best coaches available"

    11    Chris Palmer*    1999–2000
    12    Butch Davis*    2001–2004
    13    Terry Robiskie    2004

    19    Hue Jackson    2016–2018

And exactly how many career playoff wins do these coaches have a head coaches in the NFL?

Hindsight is pretty clear isn't it.   Butch Davis was the hot prospect that year.  Romeo Crennel was one of the top 2 hot coaching prospects.   Hue Jackson as well.  So to say that no one you've ever heard of will want to come coach is completely and totally false.

Just because they failed as a head coach here doesn't mean they weren't the hot coaching candidate when they were hired.

Shurmer was also considered a top assistant that was ready to be a head coach.  That proved to be incorrect and seems to still be incorrect based on this years results.

Pettine I knew nothing about and that's why I didn't mention him as being someone who was being considered a top candidate when we were searching.  The only thing I heard about him was Brian Billick who knew him from the Ravens days said if the Browns are looking for a HC to make them a tougher team, then he's the guy for that job.   I think he was doing a decent job till Hoyer got hurt and he had to play Manzidiot at QB.   So sometimes having a guy we've never heard of isn't such a bad thing.

He didn't say every coach hired was a hot prospect, just that some of them were.

Look at the progression.  And this team has been a bottom feeder for almost a decade.  Of course their is going to be juice around a coaching hire, remember we stole Hue

Pettine had this team in first place and beat the stuffing out of the Steelers and Bengals that year, before the wheels came off that season because of the lunacy that is the Browns organization.

If any one ever got Shmucked over by the Browns, it was Mike Pettine. The guy had no shot to succeed.

yes we did steal Hue and he was the hot candidate so that just goes against what you've already said in that no one will want this job and there's no way they hire anyone that we've heard of.   We had all heard of Hue Jackson and he was the guy that was considered 1 or 2 on every coaching list that was going around that year.

And again, as Dutch just pointed out. Pettine had the Browns in first place and playing great so having a coach that no one had ever heard of wasn't such a bad thing was it?

How about we give the new guy (whoever he is) a chance before we start dumping on him ok?

  • HueJax is to appear on Espn's 1st Take this Friday..1st live interview since firing..EDit---Cleve will be ban from Espn building entry😉

  • #BrownsCLEBrowns18.png coach Hue Jackson: 'I know I could've turned our offense around' if given the chance to 'call plays this season with a better roster'

  • Still throwing Haley under the bus and neither of them have a job here anymore.

No established coach worth anything is coming to the Browns as no coach has.  The Browns are getting coordinators that were the flavor of the week and convinced the horrible Browns front office that they were the savior.  And where, after the Browns snag all these “hot” commodities, do these coaches end up winning after they leave the Browns?

Tge Browns will hire another guy looking to earn his stripes and save the team.  This story will play out the same way until the team actually sees a whiff of success

What "established coach" would you like them to hire?  What established coaches leave their current job to go to a different job.

If you're talking about college, Butch Davis was not only established, he was the hot coach in the country at that time and came here and had success.

Had success but certainly wore out his welcome pretty quick in SF.   I think that's a trend with the college guys, seemed to happen with Butch as well. 4 or so years and they're moving on somewhere else.    He would be interesting to say the least if he came here.  I wouldn't hate it because of his good record in SF.   If we are talking college guys, I think I prefer David Shaw to Harbaugh at this point though.

Yeah, we know this act Mark- it's everyone else's fault- from that Twitter feed. "I could have done better if I had been allowed to run my offense this year. I didn't have the players to run my offense the previous years." Well Hue, ever think about adapting your offense to the talent on hand?

My bet would be Jim Bob Cooter or Dan Campbell, we’ll be told they are turning the culture around and.....
