Would You Shut Down Denzel Ward or Baker Mayfield?

Ok well since hoorta talked about it then i guess it isnt private. I pm'd him that he was a chickenshit for locking threads right as he did what he accused me of doing. Namely thst i referred to an outdated FA list thst didnt have Lewan as resigned. So he stated that ansah might be franchised to which i then had to make a new thread stating to him that he missed his due dilligence in not seeing thst ansah was franchised last year, which is why he got 17m this year.....something he will get from "mo one" this upcoming year. Thats all i wanted to mention to him but apparently zombo locked that one, not sure why. It was still cordial between us at that point.

My point earlier was if ur gonna butthurt lock threads, then dont fucking respond to any of my posts. I cant put this douche on ignore because he's a mod....so im hoping we just respectfully ignore each other cause i have no time for dbags that use their moderatorship on an "internet sports forum" like a personal editing tool. Nothing even mildly insulting transpired on the public side of this forum but after the 2nd lock, sure, it was like hey chickenshit u can respond to a post like a normal adult instead of a teenage snowflake who cant handle a contrary statement to a previous assertion.

As for the first thread, i give no fucks thst people didnt think it was wise to trade out of the first round....it was simoly my opinion, other people have theirs. I didnt insult anyone cause they disagreed with me. Thats kind of what a public forum is about, people expressing ideas that others may or may not agree with.

Someone made a thread about shutting baker down now when he has the very real potential of winning roty honors. Some people agree some people dont......that is how tjis shit works right?

Dude...clean the sand out of your diaper and move on for Christs sake.

Because he's all bent out of shape I locked his precious thread. I'm so unreasonable ya know. Like there's never been posts deleted for inappropriate content, or threads deleted or locked before. BTW, Zombo agreed with my POV.

    You are unreasonable..... 🙂

But I agree as well. That thread was going nowhere and was a waste of space.

I didn't appreciate being called chickenshit, so it escalated from there. If it had been Zombo both you and I know if he had called John that, he would have ripped him a new one on the board.  Ahem, somebody needs to take a chill pill and grow the f* up. And if he hates me forever for locking a thread- well that's on him.

PS Cleve- regarding the locked thread. The score is Moderators 3, Clevefan 0. So it's not just me. Go look in a mirror before you go spouting off.

Sorry guys for the off topic explanation.

LOL, um- no. If you've been following along, not Miller, anything with mint in it, flavored beers (like pumpkin), Fireball, Jagermeister, and New Zealand sauvignon blancs.  Probably a few others that don't instantly come to mind.  🙂

Eh.....what have you got against the Kiwis?  I've got distant cousins in New Zealand.

I have nothing against the Kiwis, but they could do better on their wines. Almost all NZ sauvignon blancs smell like chopped up tomato plants to me, and their pinot noirs are- well, sort of thin and not to my taste.

A wise decision Ag. I haven't decided on the Christmas wines yet,  have a good friend who's coming over- maybe a German Auslese and an old Bordeaux. Some folks don't know, or appreciate what they're getting. For many years, when the nephews and nieces have been getting married Uncle Larry has given them wines from their respective birth years. Outside of the coolness factor, I have to wonder if they really enjoyed them.

PS- I'm almost depleted on my stock of old Sauternes. I do have a bottle of Chateau d'Yquem from our anniversary year- 1986, but you had better believe that's going to be opened with a few select fellow winos who will know and appreciate the stuff.  🙂

I brought that one I have back from a visit with a tour by the owner in Sauternes. Just could not bring myself to open it because I keep it at the right temp in a vibration free wine fridge. It should be opened for me on my deathbed, cause it will last that long or longer.☠️?

I'll just say this, and then drop it. The above proves your grasp of reality is pretty bad, and you have an inflated opinion of your posting skills. You're the one acting like a child- crying (and then posting a thread Zombo deleted) bitching about it. The 3-0 is the other two Moderators happen to agree I was well within my rights to lock the thread. You're the one that's way off base here pal.  I guarantee if you had called Zombo a chickenshit- he would have kicked you off for a week, and had some choice words about you bitching to a Moderator.

Yup, Sauternes from a good year properly stored will last damn near forever. I opened a 50 year old Lafaurie-Peyraguey on my 50th birthday, and it was in fine shape. d'Yquems will last even longer than that.  🙂

They're way different Gipper. A lot cooler climate than Australia. You should try one sometime for an experiment. Any decent wine shop should have at least a couple different ones. Oyster Bay Sauvignon blanc is generally available and runs around a not budget busting $12.  The top end ones like Cloudy Bay or Kim Crawford run $25+.

Everyone perceives smells differently. Couple examples- way back I bought a bottle of cologne, Drakar Noir. Wife went yuck don't ever wear that again, it smells like sweat. On my part??? Smells pretty good to me. Couple years later I finally got it- to me there was a faint background aroma, to her it was the primary smell.

Oh, corked wines. I'm famously insensitive to the chemical TCA (I won't bother with the long name) that makes a wine smell "corked". OTOH Mark Fisher- who runs the Food & Wine column in the local paper is extremely sensitive to it. We were at a party, and the wine I brought- and was drinking- I thought it was a little dry- Mark takes one sip and almost passes out, holy shit, this wine is corked. I had a wine served to me in Napa the owner didn't want me to taste because it was corked. Brought out another bottle. I insisted to try them both- and the one he said was corked- I wouldn't have sent back in a restaurant.

That was my little digression leading up to the point I wanted to make. I'm super-duper sensitive to "vegetal" smells in wine. LOL where some (maybe a lot of) people get grapefruit smells out of New Zealand sauvignon blancs, I get tomato plant. Not something I want to smell in my wines.  🙂

There are two wines I just love to stick my nose/face into the glass and just breath. A really good Napa Cabernet or a fine Zinfandel from Amador County, California which used to be the best kept secret for Zins. Well worth a day or two where some wineries even do barrel tastings.

    Hehehe.

We have a chance for a winning record in the division, and a chance to sweep TWO rivals.  That would be quite a season, indeed.  You know what scares me?  Being favored by such a large margin against a team that has kicked our butts for the better part of 5-6 years.  Yeah, I know the Bengals are starting their backup QB, but we saw first hand that the kid can play at least a LITTLE bit, and we already know the game is going to be quite electric.  Losing the final home game to a team we've already beaten on the road with their backup QB playing sounds EXACTLY like something the old Browns would do, right?

But we're not the old Browns anymore, are we?  It's time to keep proving it, and we need to dispatch a lesser team quickly and thoroughly.  I have in the back of my head that this game is going to be an all out WAR, and I don't see this week's game resembling the previous one whatsoever.  If we win, I think it'll be in the 4th quarter, similar to what we saw the past two games.  Now the Baltimore game is a different story, and THAT game sounds like a nightmare.  We already know their defense is filthy, and facing Lamar Jackson doesn't sound like ANY fun.  The only good things I can think of are that we'll have a decent amount of film on Jackson now, AND I like how Gregg Williams schemes for other offenses.  Remember how well we played against the Saints?  How we shut down the Broncos' rushing attack?  If there's a defensive coordinator out there who will make it his mission in life to scheme up a solid play against Jackson, it's going to be Williams.  The QUESTION will be whether or not we can score enough points (at least in my crazy mind!)

Oh, and Denzel Ward returned to practice this week, so that's good.  I guess we're not holding him out, huh?!  Although we definitely missed Denzel last week, I'm super stoked we'll have him for Cincy, and I REALLY hope he can play against Baltimore too.  I just love this kid!

A little remiss, and certainly off topic Ag. But be on the lookout for Carol Shelton Monga Zin.  Cucamonga Valley way south in California. Best zinfandel ever on the low side of $30.

The only one I could find here is the Carol Shelton OV Zin Wild Thing.

However at that abhorrent Xmas party I got drug to and felt a need to get drugged at, they had a great drug to try that turned out to be quite good. It was a bottle of 2014  7 Deadly Zins.

I had a couple of deep wide-bodied glasses that I could keep breathing in and liked it so much I went home and looked it up. Unbelievably it not only got a 91 rating from Wine Enthusiast, but only costs $10.99 + tax locally. However the store I go to has a 10% discount to all veterans if you pay cash. Dropping by there today because I know my son-in-law loves Zins better than any other red wine and I want to serve it for him (& me) for Xmas dinner along with the sweet white swill I got for the rest of the in-laws.??
