How do we hire a HC?

What is 'the process'?
We fired the coach mid-season. We hired an Interim HC. We did not have to satisfy any Rooney Rule to do that.
After the Ravens game, can we just hire Williams as our HC? Are we allowed to say, "We test drove it. We like it. We're gonna buy it."? Or are we now compelled to interview a person besides Williams?
- just asking - I'm not suggesting that's what we should do.

I think - and I stress think - the Rooney Rule would still apply and the Browns can't just hire Williams immediately.

The Rooney rule is one of the things ruining the NFL like Affirmative action has in part ruined this country.. People should be hired by experience and qualification.. not because of skin color or disability.. I have disabilities.. So I'm more than qualified to say this.. I would rather have a job based on My merits... Not my disadvantages...

McDaniels would do great things with Baker and the offense, regardless on whether people like it or not. And since this isn't a defensive league anymore, that's where you go.
