Sometimes I get the distinct impression that you are the political board's Colin Cowherd and Trump is your Sam Darnold.

Colin Calherd. Has a nice ring to it.

Hillary and Trump are the same. Their values only pertain to how they benefit them in the moment. They both lick their fingers and stick them in the air to gauge where the political wind is blowing and then construct their public persona accordingly.

You'll be amazed at Trump's fall from belief if he can't fight against the Democrats and decides to work with them instead.

only in that they are both human, and your higgardly stetches the "human being" part.

How the hell is "lick their fingers..." applying to Trump? His demand for the wall? So you are saying all of America wants the wall?

His stand against your illegally immigrated murders and rapists? You think all of America wants the illegals out of here:?

There why do YOU support it?

Either way, you got nothin, Jblew.

So, you FEEL that higgardly is Baker Mayfield?

you are getting more ignorant every time one of us kicks your ass in a discussion.

HINT: you make it easy to do.

You literally just described Trump and how he acts. And you still voted for him regardless.

I believe the term "own goal" fits here.

Hillary Clinton is the professing Christian who does know the bible and yet is so pro abortion she supports abortion right up until birth. (I believe Clinton does know what the bible teaches because I have listened to her and she is well versed on bible teachings).

Trump on the other hand said only a few years ago he was a Christian and then said he didn't need forgiveness of sins showing a complete lack  of knowledge and ignorance of what the bible teaches.

To Trump's credit Christians who have spoken with him say he is open to their teaching him so I have more hope for someone who is ignorant of the bible but open to being taught over someone well  versed in the bible yet doesn't follow the teachings they know about.

You're bragging that Trump has televangelists? Holy fuck really? People who make a living ripping off old people. Are you one of the morons that help them buying a few private jets to help spread the word? You think that is a positive for your war hero?

  • You cuntz used to hate him.

  • It's amazing to me, that near the beginning of the election process, posters on here called out Trump as being a conman and realized what he was...

Then, when he became their only option, they put party above all else (religious beliefs, etc) and voted for the guy. Now, they defend him at every turn, completely bought in to the con. The thing they actually knew from the beginning...

Trump, like Hilary, said what they needed to say to get votes. If you think Trump gives two shits about Christianity you're crazy. He's just gonna say what he needs to so he can get your vote.

We have a handful more elections where the candidate needs to kiss ass to Christians and pretend they care more than they do. Soon we'll be past it though as that group continues to fade away.

  • And god damn, you're 100% using "TDS" as your "Race Card". Much more than any liberal actually used it. Any criticism of Trump is now "nope, that doesn't count, TDS. La la la I can't hear you"

Right as you're describing how bad it is to be a fake Christian and not even realizing you're describing Trump...

When I had the opportunity to vote for someone I thought was better than Trump in the primary I did.  In the general election I saw a worse candidate in Clinton so I voted for Trump. (a decision I have never regretted). Sorry but I don't hate the man.

Welcome to the real world. All politicians kiss little babies and pander for votes. I guess it is a good thing my faith is never in any politician isn't it? I pity the fools who do have faith in either politicians or political parties. Trump was and always will be the better alternative to Hillary Clinton and he has done some good things that I credit him for.

That's not true. There are plenty of things over which Trump deserves criticism. Same thing with Obama. If you don't see the lopsided derangement Factor you are being willfully ignorant, or pretending to be so or stupid. And I don't think you're stupid.

It goes both ways in terms of willful ignorance from the root word ignore. So much evidence of lying, conning, dishonesty, lack of morals, etc. that gets excused or justified here. And so many unwarranted character attacks on any national figure, including some of our very best military commanders, who disagree with Trump. Those guys live a career of honesty, integrity and honor before all else. And then there is their polar opposite. That isn't DTDS, it's called the truth.

A christian supporting an amoral, adulterer piece of garbage that doesn't following any of Jesus's teaching. - That is hypocrisy.  I understand why you hate Mitch. He is standing by his faith, while you are wiping your ass with yours.

What's interesting is that you don't know that you are why people hate the modern Democrat. You're a childish, insulting piece of shit that is usually wrong but you seem to believe being aggressively wrong equates to being right.

  • A good read:

Romney's Harsh Trump Critique Shows Why He Lost To Obama In 2012

"Unmentioned by Romney in his anti-Trump screed, however, is the character of those in Congress and in the government itself that have used positions of privilege to both sabotage Trump's presidency and, ultimately, seek his ouster...

Doesn't the actual attempted subversion of Americans' democratic will expressed through the ballot box by the Democratic Party and their corrupt deep-stateallies — former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA chief John Brennan, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and oh so many others — reveal a far-more serious character problem?

Romney did have a few grudging compliments for Trump: "He was right to align U.S. corporate taxes with those of global competitors, to strip out excessive regulations, to crack down on China's unfair trade practices, to reform criminal justice and to appoint conservative judges."

Yes? In less than two years, Trump accomplished more than President Obama did in eight. And Obama's two signature policies, ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank, were both failures. Strangely, Romney can't bring himself to utter word one of criticism for our former chief executive, the most far-left president in our nation's history.

As a matter of record, we haven't always agreed with everything Trump does, or the way he does it. But that's not at issue here. What's at issue is a newly elected Republican senator has used a plainly anti-Trump newspaper to trash a sitting U.S. president. You might think Romney would wait until he himself had done something in the Senate...

We have little doubt that Romney is using this moment to declare himself the de facto senatorial leader of the Never-Trump wing of the Republican Party. But to what end?

In his ill-considered op-ed, he promises to "speak out against significant statements or actions (by Trump) that are divisive, racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, dishonest or destructive to democratic institutions." In short, he'll join the other Trump-haters in his own party in dumping on Trump every time he opens his mouth or tweets something indelicate. Which, we admit, is a lot.

If we had to make a wild guess, it would be that this is a marker: Romney thinks he can run against a sitting president, Trump, in the primaries and unseat him. Then he'll get a second bite at the apple, without having to face the formidable Obama campaign.

We would say this to the new senator from Utah: You, and others like you in the GOP who promise conservatism but rarely deliver, are the big reason why Trump got elected in the first place. Americans were tired of empty suits at the top, and wanted someone who, however crude his manner, would act.

That's what the current impasse over the border wall is all about...

We have little doubt that most of the other Republicans who have presidential aspirations would have rolled over by now to the Democrats on the measly $5.6 billion Trump's asking to build the wall. After all, the thing GOP members seem to fear most is seeming "mean." Our border security should be paramount, yet it's always subordinated to craven politics.

This is one of the peculiar elements of the Republican Party. Whenever it's on the verge of major success, it forms a circular firing squad and fires on its own. It can't help itself. And the Democrats, after lauding Republicans for betraying their own principles, stand to the side and laugh.

Romney's a classic case. An admirable executive, philanthropist and businessman, he has been a mediocre politician. He seems not to understand that conservatism defines his party of choice, the Republican Party — just as today increasingly extreme leftism defines the Democratic Party.

One could consider his time as governor of Massachusetts as successful — for a Democrat. He signed "Romneycare" into law in the state, an early precursor of ObamaCare. He embraced cap-and-trade as a solution for global warming, and as president would have done far worse...

Romney's a Republican by registration, yes, but not much of a conservative.

Fifty-five years ago, conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly wrote a self-published a book, "A Choice Not An Echo."  In it, she said the GOP's presidential candidates needed to stand for conservative ideas to win elections.

In 2016, that's exactly what happened. President Trump ran one of the most conservative campaigns in decades. Contrary to all the pundits' predictions, beat Hillary Clinton to become president.

Like him or not, Trump has been a promise-keeper. Even the Post admitted Trump kept more of his promises in just two years that Obama did in eight. Romney just provided Trump's worst enemies with more ammunition to sink his presidency. Quite a start to his senatorial career.
