Good question. Probably Dillard. But really, looking back it looks like the draft panned out kind of like Dorsey expected with their not being a player left at 17 that really gets your motor going. PED Clemson guy was left. ACL tear guy was left.

I think it would have been Simmons, honestly not sure who I would have taken. Perhaps Simmons, one of the OTackles or the CB from Georgia.

I have no doubts the pick at #17 would have been DT Jeffery Simmons..not a reach going at #19..we may catch a break not seeing that munster week 1..

I'm guessing either the Hubbard experiment will finally be judged the Meh that it was, or Corbett will prove a master of the Ole block rather than the pancake. We have decent-but-not-spectacular backups ready, but first-rounders are there for a reason.
If not, it's time for a first-round LB.. our last three LB's in the first were the quickly forgettable barkevious mingo, kamerion wimbley, and craig powell.
