Christians are the most persecuted group in the world - (only the most ridiculed on this forum)

Your views are fine - their yours. But may I question a few, hoping for some rational explanation?
1. Why do you feel that a Christian isn't allowed to decide things in gov, based on his religion? I mean, he's supposed to violate what he believes?
unfortunately in a lot of cases that's exactly what he has to do. No different than I would expect from the Muslims who actually believe Sharia law should be the law of their community. Besides abortion I don't see too many issues that are contrary to what a true Christian might feel strongly about. Maybe the death penalty? It honesty how about any kind of punishment if we are truly meant to turn the other cheek?
2. By inference, then, you believe that an atheist is absolutely fine to make decisions based on what HE belives, and DOESN'T believe.
again as far as law or decision-making religion doesn't really come into it.
Is this true? How to do you figure those two beliefs are not directly contradictory?
if there is a conflict I suppose you should render unto Caesar what is Caesars or accept the consequences happily because you were following your God's law and you know that you will sit with him in eternity
3. Just because you are an atheist, in public. like at a rally in support of pro-life, it's fine more mockery? Is anybody mocking you for being an atheist? Think about that maybe?
what's the difference? Like I said I've been told Christians understand that they will be mocked and chastised and discriminated against even tortured and killed. Who cares if atheists mock you? If you truly believe you are following the true path it shouldn't matter at all. You should mostly feel sorry for them for being too blind to see the road to Salvation. Not worrying about name calling.

Well, firstly, I was asking those questions of Jblu. Not you.
Secondly - because it is said that it's true, it doesn't make it right that Christianity is ridiculed.
I was simply asking him about what he said. If I was elected to the congress - I would have run on being a Christian.
Why would I revert to going along with perversion/murder just because it's popular with the radical left minority?
Why WOULDN'T I represent my district as the Christian I was elected as?
If religion "isn't supposed to come into it" then why the hell would atheism come into it? Would all atheists recuse themselves of voting on a matter of religion? about churches? about tax exempt status? about crosses?
Why would an atheist get to act on his atheist beliefs/lack thereof... but a Christian has to vote like an atheist because
"religion isn't supposed to come into it" ???
"atheists are allowed to vote like an atheist on religious oriented matters, but Christians have to vote like atheists"
who made that rule? atheists?
Our judicial system is based on Christian principles.

so I decided to chime in.

back to sticks and stones
I was simply asking him about what he said. If I was elected to the congress - I would have run on being a Christian.
you can run on whatever you like. And you can vote however you like. Besides that there's nothing in the Constitution that says a representative has to vote the will of the people.
Why would I revert to going along with perversion/murder just because it's popular with the radical left minority?
as I say you're free to vote however you choose
Why WOULDN'T I represent my district as the Christian I was elected as?
no reason at all, who said there was?
If religion "isn't supposed to come into it" then why the hell would atheism come into it? Would all atheists recuse themselves of voting on a matter of religion? about churches? about tax exempt status? about crosses?
again I'm not seeing the problem and nobody is stopping you from voting for a measure that would allow prayer crosses or anything else in public places.
Why would an atheist get to act on his atheist beliefs/lack thereof... but a Christian has to vote like an atheist because
he doesn't.

I'm assuming it was decided under due-process with the representatives of the people making it so. Only a larger number of those Representatives can change it. Right?
Our judicial system is based on Christian principles.
judeo Christian, sure. But to be realistic many of the laws can't be supported by the Bible or the Torah or the Koran or the Book of Mormon. For instance just about every place and the world is open on Sunday. The Sabbath. Adultery is not illegal nor is disrespecting your mother and father we're taking the lord's name in vain.
Bottom line is that nobody is stopping a Christian politician carrying out his duties within the confines of his faith. As long as it keeps getting re-elected he's fine.

True - I was just challenging Jblu on his sentiments on the subject.
You need to not disagree with me, if makes me wonder if I'm wrong.
I know I'm right when jblu disagrees with me. LOL

What fuckin libtard created this gem?? Who are the Christians saying atheist billboards are worse? What fuckin libtard created this gem?? Who are the Christians saying atheist billboards are worse? The again, and I don't mean to step off the reservation, it is true. Christians have been tortured burned at the stake hung on crosses disemboweled fed to lions beheaded by radical Muslims for decades and centuries. Butsomebody giving you a raft of shit by refusing to put Merry Christmas on your coffee cup is pretty weak.
Are they assholes about it? Absolutely no doubt in the world.
But consider the fact that the Bible wouldn't have the impact that it does had the Romans just been really rude to Jesus.

I don't dispute any of that. Again, going back to that meme, who are these Christians saying atheist billboards are much worse than Christians being tortured back in the dark ages?
There are many forms or degrees of persecution, and persecution doesn't always translate to physical torture and bloodshed, as believed by these shallow liberal meme artists.
per·se·cu·tionhostility and ill-treatment, especially because of race or political or religious beliefs.-
"her family fled religious persecution"
synonyms: oppression, victimization, maltreatment, ill treatment, mistreatment, abuse, ill usage, discrimination, tyranny, tyrannization, punishment, torment, torture; More pogrom;informalwitch hunt;informalred-baiting"victims of religious persecution"harassment, hounding, harrying, badgering, teasing, bullying, molestation"the persecution I endured at school got worse as I got older"-
persistent annoyance or harassment."his persecution at the hands of other students"It's silly to suggest that this billboard is a form of religious persecution, but rest assured if some Christians are inclined to do so, as suggested by that stupid meme, they certainly would not place this form of so called "persecution" on the same level they do to the atrocities committed against Christians in places such as the Middle East and Africa. To suggest they do is Retarded. Nice job Cleve.Clevis' memes are terribly skewed and could only have been created by Retards.

When a priest molests an altar boy does that count as 1 persecuted Christian?
Untwist your beak, woodpecker - did a priest molest you because of your politics? race? beaksize?
then it would be, I suppose. I can't imagine a priest who would do something so perverse and vile - being an actual Christian.
Do you think a priest molesting anybody is the same as hundreds/thousands of Christians being murdered because of their faith?

Number of American based Christian charitable groups, who give to the needy regardless of race, ethnicity, OR RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION, or lack of 87.Number of Muslim charitable groups that give to the needy regardless of race, ethnicity, or religious affiliation, or lack of. 0Muslim charity groups that do exist help only Muslims.Muslim charity organization help other muslims , almost never others .Most of the 27 countries/regions listed on Islamic Relief’s list are majority Muslim. But the six that are not in this category are even more telling of where the organization focuses its resources. Three of these countries have very substantial Muslim minorities - Ethiopia, India and Sri Lanka – and only the Muslim regions of these countries are mentioned in the details (Kashmir in India, the Ogaden region of Ethiopia, and the Kalmunai district in Sri Lanka – the country’s only majority Muslim municipality).
