This is my take. The US could halt all activity that would influence the environment (go amish) and the rest of the third world that wants to get to 2nd or 1st world status will still pump pollution into the environment.

That’s always been my big bitch about the Paris accord. The US will cut its own carbon emissions, pay billions of dollars into the fund, just to watch China and India laugh and say “fuck you”!

As I've said before I live in a town whose electricity comes from windmill farms and solar panels. I've driven past many a wind farm on the way to Colorado and back and I have yet to see massive dead bird bodies underneath. If fact I haven't seen any yet. Maybe they all died of cancer and just withered away.
