  • Maybe Mike Huckabee can pray really hard and resurrect Jerry Falwell so that they both can blame 9/11 on the gays together too, while Huckabee's at it.

Huckabee said, "I don’t remember anybody blaming Bill Clinton, her husband, or Barack Obama. We had mass shootings when they were presidents. It is not a president’s fault, whether it’s Trump, Obama, or George W. Bush."

    And Huckabee is right.

You can tack "hypocrite" on there too. You talk about "slippery slopes" and get outraged when people suggest that Trump's rhetoric against illegal immigrants may have at least played a role in shaping the views of the El Paso shooter, yet when Cal literally says Obama voters have the blood of the Dayton victims on their hands, your response is to simply shrug and say "meh, I'm biased".

If you have something to say to Cal then say it. I will speak for myself and I stated what I believe and that is we need to be cautious in trying to blame others for what someone else did. That is something that I am going to try to do myself. I'm sure I missed it in the past and have fallen into the trap of playing the blame game. I'm biased in the sense I usually post presenting my side of an argument. I don't feel the need to make both sides of an argument because that is "your" job on the other side. I'm pitching my side and I don't claim to be fair and neutral like the lying mainstream media.

jesus Christ you muppet, nobody had any doubts about your bias. That's not news. What J was trying to get from you is an acknowledgement your double standard. He provided citation of it too...and you balked cause you really can't say nothin, he got you pegged clean. He took you out back to the woodshed and beat you like a govt mule. Im sick and fucking tired of the rampant hypocrisy exhibited by conservatives not just here but seemingly everywhere. But here, where we routinely criticize liberals when they go off the reservation....you all just simply can't bring yourselves to stop shilling. It's pretty damning that none of you can just say this stupid irrelevant little woman spoke nonsense. It wasn't even asking you to criticize your pauper of a king lord Donald.....your pack mentality has made you utterly stupifylingly ignorant.

So none of you blamed Obama for violence against cops after he said Trayvon looks like he could have been my kid? You wanna backtrack that one?

  • and the reason nobody of any real merit blamed Clinton or Obama for mass shootings is because they didn't stoke racial hatred on a near daily basis. Simply because they're base wouldn't put up with it. Conservatives tho, this is their "thing". I've plainly stated im not sure if Trump himself is all that racist because being a racist means you have some kind of principle in mind, which I don't believe he has a single principle in his entire ethos. But he absolutely knows who his base is. And he plays them and these are the consequences.

The woman was speaking about the moral decline of the nation and  she is right about that. If you want to blame Trump for mass shootings then placing blame on the moral decline of the country makes at least as much sense as blaming Trump.

Also If you want to pit something I said against what Cal said go for it but I'm not a puppet dancing to your tune.

Obama just had a racist and race baiter named Al Sharpton as an adviser at the White House. That would be comparable to Trump having David Duke as an adviser.

  • I have pointed out obamao's "discipline policy". His policy has helped hs kids do stuff and get a light rap on the knuckles, then right back to school they go.

I have pointed out that this dayton murderer kept a rape list, and a kill list. and he was suspended, but went right back to school.

because of obamao's lenient policy. So, jblu - do you really think obamao's lenient policy didn't get this kid a hard look at stopping him ahead of time? He and others showed a lot of dangerous signs. One lady - cheerleader, was told by police she was on the rape list.

and the dangerous eventual murderer was simply allowed to go back to school. Look at all the signs the Parkland murderer showed.

Please - grow out of your arrogant ignorance and discuss some facts, here.

Speaking of facts - the Dayton murderer was a big bernie sanders/socialist supporter. Odd, I didn't know that. Not one of you lefties said one thing about it. But you gloated like all heck about the other Texas murderer, who you could spout off about being a "white nationalist". He was a mental case. And the study of these murderers includes mental illness, trauma as a child, etc etc.

We already discussed the dude was all over the place politically, that's not the issue....the issue was his "buying in" to the white nationalist movement premise that immigrants are staging a silent takeover of the U.S. I don't care if he had a poster of AOC in his room....he didn't deliberately shoot up a mall full of foreigners because of AOC's rhetoric. Just stop this ignorance you fucking assclowns.

I think it was a terrible idea myself. Obama had the chance to make race relations better by being our first black president but race relations only got worse under him and having Al Sharpton as an adviser was likely one of the reasons.

I've called out the likes of AOC, ilhan Omar, Elisabeth Warren, and other nutbag Democrats on posts here numerous times for the stupid comments they've made. It doesn't bother me in the slightest to say that, although the Dayton shooter is ultimately the one responsible for his own actions, that it's plausible to me that the hyperbolic rhetoric coming from the crazy Regressive Leftist elements of the Democratic Party may have helped to fuel this psychopath's actions. The same holds true for Trump's reckless rhetoric possibly fueling some of the El Paso shooter's rage.

What I haven't done, however, is say that the blood of shooting victims or victims of violence from the alt right is on the hands of Trump voters, because that would be factually wrong, first; secondly, because rhetoric like that would be completely irresponsible of me to say. And, I'll even put this out as well: if I have done what you have done and blamed the deaths of shooting victims on Trump voters at large, then I'll freely admit that I was in the wrong. Good luck finding an instance where I've said something like that; but if you find it, then my acknowledgment of being in the wrong is right here for all to see.

As to your diatribe about Obama's school policy, I have this: Obama's been out of office since early 2017. The Dayton shooting happened yesterday, in late 2019; nearly 3 years after Obama left. Trump and his adminstration have had the reigns over the Department of Education this whole time, yet they haven't moved to modify or remove the Obama-era policy that you're condemning and putting a blood-libel on Obama voters for. By that logic, you yourself- as a Trump voter - have innocent blood on YOUR hands too, since you elected the man who failed to change policies in the 3 years that he's been in office that lead to the death of innocent people in Dayton, according to your theory.

Steve Bannon ring any bells?  How about Trump's ringing endorsement of the likes of Roy Moore?

Or do you just want to stop now and agree that all presidents have associated with dubious individuals in their political lives?

  • At least one of the reasons the left (I'll pick on them) constantly seem to be complaining about rhetoric from the right causing violence or could cause violence is just an obvious attempt to shut up any criticism at all.  You see it as well with those on the left who constantly cry racism any time they get criticized. Again this usually is just another excuse to attempt to shut down any criticism.

Of course many on the left who complain about the rhetoric never fail to dish out the rhetoric themselves and there is likely a link that hateful rhetoric against Trump is a reason Trump supporters get attacked.
