Why does Jay Crawford bother me?

I never liked him on "First Take" either (nor his co-host Dana).
He comes across like his doesn't think his poop stinks. He seems really impressed with himself.
And he's also smug about OSU, even though he never attended school there.
I'm not sure what it is, but he just bothers me. ESPN made the right choice in dumping him.
I did like when he did a segment on trying to pitch in the minor leagues and got destroyed.
