  • As frustrated as I am with our season, I'm so impressed with this young man. He is everything that is right with the NFL.

    He was impressive from day one.

    He deserves all of the credit he's getting and more.  But like every other back in the league, he has runs of -2, 0, 1 yard.  Our OL is not all that great.  We can't make a living doing either one solely (running or passing).  We have to set up one with the other.

    ....but that guy is like a model football player IMO.  He's like the anti-Baker.       < and he's FAST >

    I knew he was doing pretty well, but the #2 rusher in the entire NFL?

    And the only guy with more rushing yards (McCaffrey) has a lower ypc (4.9 vs. 5.3). Chubb is producing better than such revered backs as Cook, Zeke and Kamara. 

    One more reason why this team (and Baker) really should be winning more than they are. It would be different if you said, "Well, we have no rushing game, hard to win without one" (as the Rams are discovering. Notice how much worse they are since Gurley isn't right?) And, yes, the O line isn't great but it's not as bad as many think it is, or Chubb would not be producing like he is. 

    This is one more indicator that tells us a lot of the problem is with Baker and his inaccuracy (which was not the case last year).

  • The run blocking has been much stronger than pass pro.

    I am concerned that when Hunt is back they are going to cut to far into Chubbs carries. He seems to get better the more carries he gets. Hunt should be worked in as a third down back and two back sets. We should use plenty of those.

    I'd like to see Hunt get 2 series a game to keep Chubb fresh. 

  • If we could stop with the penalties.. Catch the ball when it's thrown to said players.. And not throw pics and fumble the ball away... We might give ourselves a chance.... I mean.. That is literally what is costing us games..

    And they'd probably be 4-2 instead of 2-4, winning cures a lot of things.
