My Browns uni concept

I'm a die hard old liner. You put a logo on the helmet, I'll hunt you down and kill your entire family. However, I must admit these are some killer designs, Makes us look modern yet badass. I don't likie any of the Orange jersey versions but the rest are pretyy cool despite the "Bronco" swoosh. I guess I could handle some changes as long as you leave that pristine beautiful Orange helmet.
I'm watching....

Thanks again for the positive comments everyone ! Here's a logo I came up with that may not work on the uniform but maybe as a patch on shirts, hats, etc.

AWESOME logo, WV! That would be a great local logo, for sure. LOVE the script you chose.

Agree a helmet logo would not go over. Even those who favor it probably wouldn't speak of it out loud for fear of a stoning or caning.
However, it seems like a curved stripe or shoulder logo is a pretty mild, yet impressive, way to go. We all mostly care about winning, but it do we have to look like Brian Sipe forever?
Speaking of uni's, I heard yesterday the Bucs are not only going to stink, but Winslow is going down with them, and the Bucs are returning to a version of their original uni's. Yuck.

Yikes! Sorry, I don't like them.

Here's a concept of mine.......
Neat ain't it
Would look good in a trophy case somewhere inside Cleveland Browns stadiumHahaha wow putting a picture of the Lombardi Trophy on the Cleveland Browns website now that's hilarious. Well here is my response to that WAKE THE xxxx UP cause it's a dream and that's the only time you will ever see the Lombardi Trophy inside Shitstains stadiums is in your xxxxing dreams...I know I know the response is going to be well the Steelers cheated for all 6 of their Trophy's and Harrison's on roids and blah blah blah blah yap yap yap yap yap yap xxxxing yap yap yap...Here is a concept for all the Browns fans why dont you focus on your team led by Mangina who is nothing but a gum chewing punk that has never accomplished anything on finding somehow someway to do something you havent done in the last 11 tries and that's beat the defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Once you do that then maybe somebody in the NFL will take the Browns seriously and not for the complete joke they are now...

In your world ignorance is bliss and stupidity is sublime.
Glad to know you are both blissful and sublime in that fantasy land you live in.

That post contributed absolutely nothing, nada, zilch. I would at least expect a comment along the lines of shitstain jerseys or something, but you cant even keep on topic. We have more NFL championships than you, give it up, we are a better all time franchise than you, we have a much better city than you as well, now go home and bang your sister like you were going to anyway
To stay on topic, I think we should mass e-mail the front office with these concepts (AS WELL AS AN ORANGE JERSEY PLEASE). Theylle definitely get the picture then, maybe we could get someone at one of the press conferences to hand mangini a posterboard with these photos on it, ten we can have people petitioning at camp, and games
The Browns are one of only five teams to have never appeared in a Super Bowl. The other four teams are the Detroit Lions, the Houston Texans, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the New Orleans Saints. Once again nobody cares about Championships won back in the late 1940's and the 1950's. There were like 6 teams in each conference too for crying out loud back then and nothing like it was in the 1970's and in today's NFL where they are 32 teams and 16 in each conference which makes it much tougher to win a championship. The NFL doesnt even recognize those championships. It's really really pathetic that you and guys like Zombo on here have to bring up championships won before the Super Bowl era when nobody probably even on these boards was alive to witness it or remember it for that matter.

Just because you were nothing but a future jiz spot doesn't detract from them. And I DO remember pre-SB championships, so that blows your nose.

I dont like the idea of a logo, as none of them would look right... But Ill say out loud that I want the numbers on the helmets, That looked really badass, my avatar has Jerome Harrison wearing one <<<<<<<<<
Oh and those orange Bears Jerseys look sweet, I guess its a taste thing, for me, the flashier the better.... hence why im a fan of Chad Ocho Cinco, except when he plays the Browns of course

I thought it was funny just like the fact that you just had a child with your own mother.Funny is losing to the Steelers 11 times in a row and not winning a playoff game since Vinny Testaturd was your starting QB some 14-15 years ago...That is absolutely xxxxing hilarious. Remind me who beat the Browns the last two times they made the playoffs in 1994 and 2002??

OK, so? That illustrates that Dan Rooney is an excellent owner and football executive and the Dick LeBeau is one of the greatest defensive minds in history. That being said, what does the accident of your birth in the Pittsburgh area have to do with their performance?
What contribution did YOU personally make to that accomplishment?

What would make sense for you....financially....is if you developed a similar logo for all 32 NFL teams (and maybe even all other major league sports franchises, NFL/MLB/NBA/NHL etc.), incorporating each teams color scheme and state of location.
Of course, you would probably have to get licensing permission and approval from the NFL etc. to produce....and profit from your creations. And of course give them THEIR cut. I understand these teams/leagues are a very tough nut to crack and very protective of their imagery. Even with an outstanding product like yours, they might not be willing to accept it simply because it was not created by their own internal marketing arms. Remember the whole lawsuit issue over the Ravens logo that Art Modell stole from some guy on the street that submitted it to them. That whole experience has put off the NFL and its properties division from accepting things of this nature from people on the street. Nevertheless, it is worth a shot.
Plus, if you pursue it, you would need to apply for trademark protection. (The lack of such protection hindered the Baltimore guy in his claim against Modell's theivery)
Right now, by posting this creation in the public domain you may have already lost certain rights to it as it can now be disseminated any where pretty much. You may want to contact a patent/trademark attorney about it to see if you can still be protected.
No charge for the advice!

What about the uniform? Would that be the same thing? Or not?
-
I love the all the unis that dont have orange pants. The one with Brown jersey and brown pants is my favorite
-
sorry to say but i would riot if they wore these on the field.
cool idea but the browns have a classic jersey that will never get old.
+1 for numbers on the helmets though.

Yes, it would be the same.
That brings up an interesting story. Once upon a time in the 80s, I submitted a trademark application for Westide Steve's band (Easy Street). (You all know Westside Steve...one of the originators of this board I believe...or at least one of the major domos here who also does the movie review column here...and a denizon of the Crescent Club patio on Put-In-Bay in the summers).
When they send you their approval of their trademark they, at that time anyway,(before public internet usage) would send you a book containing copies and photos of all the trademarks approved and protected during that week. On the page just following the Easy Street trademark were the trademarks issued to several of the NFL teams new uniform designs. It wasn't every team, just those that were making uniform changes. I recall specifically the Seattle Seahawks were in it.
(it was about 25 years ago). I believe I gave that book to either Steve or one of the other Easy Street band members.

The Browns do have a classic jersey, but it has already gotten old. The nice part of the marketing of today is teams can appease both sets of the fanbase - the ones that wants to stick with the old 'classic' look; and those that crave something new. That's what the 'retro' look is all about and why it is worn by many teams. The Browns could keep their classics - as they do now when they wear the numbered helmets - for a couple/few games per year.
I love this thread and am again excited to see so many of my Browns Bretheren that share my views on updating our look!
-
Ok, here's one idea I had for the road. I'm not too into the striping and all like the Broncos and in college. I'm a more traditional uni guy. And since there are orange colors in the background...assume it's at the Bungles.

That's such a gay weak argument Oh what did you have do with this accomplishment?? Did I say I was a player or a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers and had anything to do with them?? No. What I have been is a diehard Steelers fan for over 25 years seeing that I'm 33 years old now, and have been a season ticket holder since the mid 90's when Bill Cowher took over. I unfortunately wasnt alive for the Super Bowls of the 70's to witness them or experience them or as you like to say "contribute" to them. What I have had is the privilege of going to some of the greatest playoff games in Three Rivers Stadium and Heinz Field history since I have been going to the games. And like you said I give credit to the Rooney's for their ownership and stability and the great job of the Steelers coaching staff and players throughout that whole time.

Yes they count and people recognize them?? But if you go outside the Cleveland area I dare you to find me 10-20 people who actually care about them and consider them to be a better overall franchise then the Pittsburgh Steelers. The fact of the matter still is since the Super Bowl has been called the Super Bowl the Browns are 1 of 5 teams to have never played in the actual game and experience what it actually means to your city and to your football team. And 2 of the 5 teams are expansion teams one has been around for 14 years, the other one has only been around for 7 years. And if you go around and ask diehard Cleveland Browns fans if it doesnt bother them and drive them nuts that they havent not only not won a Super Bowl, but not even have played in one ever, everyone of them would be completely full of shit if they said it didnt.
