    3. And, of course, give them a heavy dose of Chubb...

One major point here... minimal ZBS... maximum power scheme.

Pats front seven is too skilled as a unit to effectively zone block, but they can be beaten one on one. Exception is Danny, but a dbl team can turn him and then the OG can release to an LB.

Lawrence Guy -  wouldn't discount him so quickly.

My concern is our early down work on defense vs Brady and his play action.

Pass rush simply has to ignore it. Easier said than done... same as every game point I've made.

I was thinking more along the lines of our backers.    If Brady can move them/suck them in with the ball action, then Eldeman, Dorsett, etc etc will get open.   Especially with the amount of off coverage Wilks likes to play.

  • It's official. Browns are a bottom 10 team in the league. I knew the elements would screw with us, but never expected Chubb to lose the game in the first quarter.

  • Hell yeah! Let's go get our boy! OBJ, Gordon, Landry, Higgins and Calloway. Best WR group in the NFL right there!!!!

I managed to get a hold of Josh Gordon's playbook when he becomes a HC

  • Nice pick Nostradamus. Baker Mayfield looks terrified. I was feeling depressed about Seattle sports then I remembered it could be worse, I could be from Cleveland.

  • Quit smoking that wacky weed tour.

Well, it is worse, being from Seattle.    You lost your basketball team.  You lost your original baseball team who went to Milwaukee......and your current baseball team is the ONLY team of the 30 MLB teams to have never played in the WS.

So, you got the Seahawks.  Lets see how they work out this year.

Kind of funny your account was created 3 minutes after I posted a response to Ravns5220 lol. Why not just respond under your Ravens name?

I love Seattle. Cleveland too. I lived there when I was younger and feel bad that it has turned into such a troubled place. I love my Mariners too. Yes they have struggled for years but I still love them just like many of you ( and me!) Love the Browns. Hang in there. I understand the passion. I have had my mom insulted, have been called a female body part and been sworn at repeatedly. But it is ok. Stay Cleveland strong!

Well  Coach, you showed up at a bad time. There were  high expectations  for this  team. Some folks are not  taking  kindly to  your  comments.

Again...it is clear that you have no clue...or that you are living in the 60s. Troubled place?  Not sure where you are getting that?

So? You are looking for someone to insult you in a creative way?  I would ask how old you are (not old enough yet to have learned much), when and why you left this area? (had to have been in the 60s based on your knowledge of this area. Did you originally leave for Vancouver to avoid the draft...then came back to Seattle?)  What this education of yours is? (a degree from like Trump University...a sham college) How it is that you got so much money? ( that you can waste it on buying coffee that tastes like pancreatic bile?)  Whatever you say, we can all be certain that it would be a prevarication, a canard, an aspersion, mendacity, an obloquy.

  • Here's the thing... Defensively we did almost everything on my "how" list and they worked. Brady to Edelman burned us twice... both times we were in zone... once we rushed only 3.

Offensively??? Simply can't overcome stupid... and that shuttle pass to a DT was the stupidest pass I've seen all year. Otherwise everything listed worked...hell... even stuff I did not think would work worked, e.g., ZBS.

And not to disappoint my fans, but the accumulated "Hows" were not strokes of genius, they were just a collection of obvious approaches.... approaches that were working early and often, yet we lacked the discipline to stay with.

It was there... we had this... even with a kick-ball-scoop-and-score and a 2nd fumble at the end of a long run... we had this.

These boards have room for differences of opinion. It would be very boring if everyone agreed. I understand the Browns have been a huge letdown. I hope they pull it together soon.

I never claimed to have a bunch of money. That would be a chump move. I am 54 years old.  I am in leadership with a large company that I have been at for 35 years. I also am a member of the IDA and have 1 doc currently in distribution. Pretty small time in the film scene with nothing in production and no plans. I have coached baseball for 30 years including managing in the Pacific Internationsl League. Farher of 5 grampa of 1. Husband for over 20 years. There you have it. A pretty nornal dude.

Sure, there's  room for  differences  of opinion. Hang around for a while and  you might  get to see our resident  Steeler fan who's doubtless going  to start crowing  how  they're  a 1\2 game  ahead of  us now.

What's  not  tolerated is stuff from  our (hopefully  permanently  banned) Ravens troll that we're  great, you suck, and are going to  suck  forever.

I'd be the first to  admit the Browns  essentially  gifted the Patriots a win, turning the ball  over. That I  saw in person  taking a  road trip  from  Ohio.

On a personal level, I  got to  see  Jim Brown play live, and I've been a  season  ticket holder for  decades. There's  guys  on this board who know a lot more about the  technical aspects of the game than  I do.
