Except for the part where Garrett's helmet is twisted to the point that he's looking out the ear hole.

"Chasing sacks, hence taking Rudolph to the ground with 8 seconds left."  So, with 8 seconds left in a two score game, the Steelers are still trying to score but Garrett is at fault because he didn't take a knee? Right.

Look, I get it: Garrett deserves a suspension. But can we please stop acting like Rudolph was serving Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless when Garrett suddenly for no reason decided to start whaling on him with his own helmet? After Garrett tore his helmet off he is clearly backing away with Pouncey and another Steeler lineman between him and Rudolph. Rudolph chooses to be the aggressor and charges at him when Myles loses it. Again, Myles deserves a suspension. But comparing him to Burfect is asinine.

    P.S. James Harrison says hello.

James Harrison never did anything close, ever and the steelers weren't "trying to score" as  they ran one damn play. They weren't burning timeouts. Garrett didn't need to take Rudolph to the ground and what Garrett did is the dirtiest thing I've seen in professional sports. Period.

This post is laughable. Do we need to post clips of Harrison launching himself with the crown of helmet to Colt McCoys chin or Mohammed Masaqua will running at full speed? Far worse outcomes then what happened to Rudolph. And if the Steelers weren't trying to score they should have just ran the ball or took a knee.

  • Proud for my boy Miles. STR we have had countless Steelers like Harrison and Polamalu head hunt our QBs and defenseless WR and straight up laugh about it. The NFL has let that shit happen for 20 years. Finally someone stands up for the team. This should warn them that we ain't taking their shit anymore. How cares if his suspended the season was lost anyways. Also wasn't Miles suppose to be some mild mannered Zumba instructor?

And here you are Channelling Ghoolie who originally called Garrett just a Zumba instructor.  Maybe he would have made a different assessment of him now.

And, you are right....some on here are OH SO concerned about what retaliation the Steelers may try to get in the game in 2 weeks.  The answer is: what they will do is to receiver another ass kicking overall.  Yea, hopefully no weird optic fights will happen,  but the Browns are bigger, badder, tougher than the Steelers.  Garrett being in their will not change that.   The only thing that can affect that is  Freddie and some of his bizarre game schemes and play calling.

Man, imagine if the players were reversed....... Baker instead of Mason, ect, ect, ect.....

Imagine the F U C K I N G crying that would be absolutely rampant throughout this forum. There wouldn't be ONE dude saying that Baker not only deserved it, but should also be suspended too........ NOT ONE MUTHER FUCKING DUDE.

At the end of the day, Myles hurt his team and there should not be one true FAN that is proud of, or defends that.

If Baker would’ve been dumb enough to try and rip off a Myles Garrett’s helmet off?
And charge the dude after he already lost his helmet?
Rudolph pleaded to the ref so quickly after being “assaulted” that it’s almost like he:

    a) wasn’t hurt at all

    b) was provoking the whole ordeal

Steelers won in the end, Myles done for the season.

Garrett used his helmet as a weapon but yea "far worse" fucking idiot.

    Suspended indefinitely FYI.

Indeed, it's inexcusable. 6 games sounds about right for me because the Siemian one looked like an accident to me and I don't remember the Walker one. Myles is not known as a "dirty-cheap shot" player like Burfict so it would be his first long suspension. If they suspend him more games I'll be OK, it was risky as hell what he did.

Anyway, what do you think about Rudolph? He's getting some heat for acting like a victim when he also started the brawl. He got the worst part? Yes. But he is not innocent.

Watch the play again. Rudolph's glove is stuck in some part of Garrett's helmet. I'm sure he was pissed to be taken down but he was also trying to get his hand unstuck. Emotions run high for all of us so it looks malicious but there are Browns fans on my board saying the same thing. Rudolph had his hand stuck. Garrett is going to get more than 6 dude unless they take the "rest of the season" approach as enough. It was assault.

and what was sissy mason's hand doing inside of Garrett's helmet? hello? idiot. What, you lost money on the game? you can't be honest about anything - you're a squealer kneeler. and, before getting boinked with his own helmet (after trying to rip off Garrett's helmet), sissy mason attacked Garrett a second time, after kicking him in the groin at least once the first time, he threw a left hand at Garrett's throat, while Garrett was being restrained by a squealer, who was happy to let mason punch him in the face. Except, "BOINK".

Actually, I think that mason wanted to scratch Garrett on the face like a possessed little girly man. I say, when you are attacked, you have a right to defend yourself - but I would have dropped the helmet. you squealers don't get to start crap, then play the "victim". your team got embarrassed hugely, sucker. What a great win marred by the fight your sissy qb started. boo hoo.

  • I find it hilarious that the browns did to the Steelers last night what the Steelers have done to the browns the last 20 years.

And now steelers fans can bitch and whine about getting their ass blown out. Sucks when your team is bullied, now you know how it feels

  • When the fight actually happened he cried wolf. I don't believe for a second Myles hit him as hard as he could as people are saying.

See the video....the thing that contacted Rudolph were the foam pads inside the helmet.  Could it have been worse? Sure.

But, in legal situations like this, and this is or will be a legal situation when the appeal is heard, the ACTUAL harm done is all that is accounted for.

I don't think anyone is defending it as a punishable offense.

    The question is:  how punishable?

Again, I hate to be a realist....or what some of you may want to call a legalist, but in any situation like this a whole range of factors have to be and probably will be taken into account.

I know that the minds of some of you can't fathom anything that goes beyond the content of what can fit on a bumper sticker, but in real jurisprudence situations, which, again, this is....a full and complete analysis of the entirety of the circumstances will become necessary.

  • Ogunjobi should be fined, I don't think shoving Rudolph to the ground is suspension worthy.

Not necessarily.  As noted above.....this initial reaction (overreaction)  is subject to appeal. And unless the arbiter is also someone that cannot comprehend facts and circumstances, and who ONLY goes by the optics,  there could be some adjustments made to this.  The other thing that these initial rulings do is to sometimes play to whatever is being said in the media.

You're joking right?  His glove got caught in his facemask? What was his other hand doing grabbing the back of Garrett's helmet and twisting? He must have had stickum and it was stuck right.  No way in hell did Rudolph's hand accidentally wind up in his facemask he threw the ball with one and Garrett's head it below his off hand. Look im not condoning Myles and the nfl did the right thing suspending him indefinitely, but you are defending Rudolph trying to twist Garrett's helmet off and kicking him the balls. That whole thing never happens if Rudolph doesn't do that.  Doesn't make what Garrett did excusable but rudolph isn't excused either.

  • Myles Garrett suspended for the rest of the regular season and postseason in 2019, right now at least at this time. Mason Rudolph and the  Steelers will also proceed to press criminal charges to Garrett for assault.

Oh well, another first round pick went bust. Like we’re not used to it yet. Thanks again Sashi

Thats true they can appeal, but I don't see Myles getting much leniency during an appeal. I can see Ogunjobi having his suspension removed though what he did isn't suspension worthy.

  • the shoe has been on the other foot for decades, vag. You don't have a leg to stand on. and Garrett's sack was as gentle as could be. He could have knocked his ass out and drawn a penalty but didn't.

What ever happened to being held responsible for your actions? I'm 51 and I was taught that lesson at an early age. Most people here gloss right over what Myles did, and they can't spout enough about how he was "provoked".

I am solely talking about what Myles did.... not how he got to that point in time where he had a fucking football helmet in is hand, saw the player who he was mad at had no head protection, and decided to hit him in his head with the helmet as hard as he could..... That's solely what I am discussing. That single act in time. Period.

WTF ever happened to simply being held accountable for your actions?  Thank you Mom and Dad for instilling that in me, and more importantly, for then allowing me to instill it into my daughter.
