Rudolph probably should have gotten 1 game for starting this whole thing. I think when it comes to Garretts suspension it should be noted that Garrett hit Rudolph so hard, he didn't even need to go to the blue tent. So I think it may looks worse than it was, but there is still no place in the NFL for using a helmet that way, none. I don't think he will get his suspension reduced but I think he has probably been overly disciplined due to the optics.

The video shows that essentially the only contact to Maya was to the foam padding on the inside of the helmet.

It baffles me that any Browns fan would want Mason Rudolph suspended at all. He's the worst QB Pittsburgh has had in a long time. Don't you want him playing and sucking?? Geez....big picture people...

calfoxwc

as I posted somewhere else...squealer fans don't want sissy mason to play, either. LOL

What a crock of shit:

SportingNews: Mason Rudolph avoids suspension in Myles Garrett incident, leaving some NFL fans upset

Motherfucker starts this whole debacle by trying to pull Garrett's helmet off, proceeds to kick Garrett in the baby bird, and then chases Garrett as he's walking away...yet no suspension?

Fucking BULLSHIT.

At least some NFL journalists and former players are calling out this horseshit.

Based on the way Mason has played, him not being suspended may be the best punishment for the Steelers

Thats what the media said in pittspuke..."some people complaining mason didnt get suspended...mostly steeler fans..its worse we have to play him" haha

It’s the NFL for crying out loud. Discipline is all about who you play for, not what you did.
It’s what they do.

That should have been a 2 game suspension in it's own right.

Earlier in the game, my wife commented that Rudy looked like he was sporting a camel toe. I laughed. Now I realize it was no joke

I just think the stinking qb from pukesburg deserves a definite game or two. Of course, I wouldn't

phrase it that way to the scumbag commish...

"you get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar"....

Sorry, you're in Spain. My bad. LOL I SAID "just in case".

Bitching wouldn't do any good. I mentioned "you get more flies..." it's an old

And more on our friend Mr Goddell with all of the stuff you hear about the big buck corporate CEOs and other big shots he might have them all beat......read on....

https://qz.com/work/1133168/nfl-commissioner-roger-goodell-wants-a-pretty-grotesque-contract-for-someone-at-zero-risk-of-actual-injury

Roger Goodell, the commissioner of the NFL, is reportedly seeking a contract that would pay him $49.5 million per year, and include such perks as the lifetime use of a private jet.

That salary would pay him far more than the league’s best-paid player—that’s Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, set to make $27 million this year—and would put him near the top of the best-paid sports figures in the world. Cristiano Ronaldo, the star striker for Real Madrid and Portugal, will be paid $58 million this year, with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi not far behind at $50 million, according to Forbes. (Those figures don’t include endorsement income, which is substantial).

Goodell’s contract is no sure thing, given the fierce opposition of some owners. But if he’s successful, the package of perks—which would includes lifetime insurance coverage for his family—would be in the same league of the most lavish corporate packages. Former GE CEO Jack Welch, upon retiring, secured the lifetime use of a Manhattan apartment and court-side US Open tickets (among many other goodies), while Welch’s successor Jeff Immelt traveled with a second private jet trailing him, in case his first broke down.

Goodell, whose expiring contract pays him about $30 million a year, probably thinks he deserves the raise. The average value of an NFL franchise is now $2.5 billion, up from $898 million when he took over as commissioner in 2006, Forbes says. In 2011, he led the league in negotiating television rights deals worth almost $28 billion over nine years.

Clearly, the league’s 30 owners are getting rich, and Goodell wants to be rewarded just as the players are.

But there’s a significant difference in the contract Goodell wants, and the ones signed by players. The career of a professional football player is shockingly short—just 2.7 years, according to one analysis—and the vast majority will never see those salaries in any other career. NFL players contracts aren’t guaranteed, so if a player is injured or cut, a team can drop him without having to pay off the balance of the contract (unlike in pro baseball or basketball, where contracts are guaranteed).......
