  • If the playoffs started today, here is who would be in, and for now I am also including teams that are still "in the Hunt".

    AFCN  Patriots  9-1 #1 seed

    AFCN  Ravens  8-2 #2 seed

    AFCS Colts 6-4  #4 seed   (owns tiebreaker over Texans)

    AFCW Chiefs  7-3  #3 seed

    Wildcards:  Bills 7-3,  Texans  6-4

    In the hunt:  Raiders  5-4 Steelers 5-5, Titans 5-5, Browns and Jags  4-6

    NFCE  Cowboys 6-4   #4 seed

    NFCN Packers  8-2 #2 seed

    NFCS  Saints 8-2 #3 seed

    NFCW 49ers  9-1  #1 seed

    Wildcards:  Seahawks  8-2,  Vikings 8-3

    In the hunt: Rams, 6-4, Eagles 5-5

    Race for the #1 overall pick:

  • We do not have to wait long for perhaps THE major game of the week to happen, or maybe not...given that there is a game for the #1 seed in the NFC:

    Thursday.....Colts at Houston....for  the lead of the AFCS

    Sunday......Packers at 49ers.   Packers win has them take over #1 seed.   49ers win gives them big, big lead for that seed.  Essentially a 3 gamer over Pack...as they would not only have a 2 game lead...but also the head to head. 

    Other game matching teams currently in the playoffs:    Cowboys at Patriots.

    Other games between teams in or in the hunt:

    Ravens vs. Rams;   Jags vs. Titans, Seahawks vs. Eagles; Panthers vs. Saints.

  • Basically we have to win out, and even THEN we wouldn't be guaranteed to make it.  But hey, we didn't take care of business early on, and now we're facing the consequences.  All I know is I hope BEYOND hope that we absolutely crush the Steelers in two weeks.  I just read where Mike Tomlin said he and his team "accept responsibility for their role in the incident", but immediately after that he says, "I don't know that we did anything to start the fight."  WHAT A FREAKING JOKE!  God I hope we destroy them.  I hate those pricks so bad.
