1. Ohio is also home to the First Ladies National Historic site....in downtown Canton in the former home of Ida Saxton McKinley. This was the home occupied by she and her husband William McKinley. She inherited it.
2. Ohio also claims an 8th President: William Henry Harrison, who, while not born here....was elected to the Presidency from Ohio. (similar say to Obama being born in Ohio...but being elected from Illinois)
3. The burning of the Cuyahoga River also led to the passage of the Clean Air and Water act (which created the EPA). I have told a lot of the millenials that they have no idea how badly polluted the air and water around here was from industrial activities.
4. You are right about the aviation....while that first flight took place in NC at Kitty Hawk, everything was built for it here in Ohio. One of those 24 astronauts was from right here in Wadsworth (Michael Foreman)...and of course, Judith Resnick....one of the victims in the Challenger, was from Akron.
5. An equally iconic movie set location is the Christmas Story House......in the Tremont neighborhood in Cleveland.

Warther Museum in Dover, Ohio. https://thewarthermuseum.com/plan
"Mooney" Warther was a master carver of trains who had NO peer. I don't care WHERE you live, that place is worth the trip. He dreamt of what he carved perfectly to scale & he took no mearurements & used no machinery. He & his efforts were amazing & the museum is amazing. I had the pleasure of visiting with his son, David, for almost 2 hours back in the late '70s or early '80s.

As of today, one thing about the Great State of Ohio:
It has been over 3000 days since we have lost a football game to Michigan.

Another interesting fact about Ohio. Ohio doesn’t own any water in the Ohio river where it borders WV.
WV wholly owns the river where the river borders both states.
Although an Ohio fishing license can be used on the river

On the whole, I like living here in Ohio. But it is pretty annoying that I have to drive to Indiana to get decent fireworks because of Ohio's lame-ass fireworks laws.

Why? Do you think that the First Ladies of this nation do not deserve a museum to honor them. Or, is that answer that you just are stupid? Or is that you are avowed racist, simply expressing your ignorance because the one black First Lady we have had was in on this photo.

Oh. Look, All white women. You happy now?
