The majority of BMV locations are closed across the State, but, did you know that you don’t have renew your plates in person at the BMV? That’s right, even with the BMV’s closure during this pandemic you can still have up-to-date registration for your personal vehicles. Simply click on the link below or go to the BMV's website and put in your vehicle information. Once completed, your renewal will be sent in the mail in just a couple of days. This will allow you to keep your social distance from others and save you time in the long lines at the BMV.

And as for those E-check requirements, the state has announced that motorist can skip the requirement. The pass will be allowed up until 6 months after the E-check stations have reopen from this pandemic allowing you time to get it completed.

Please keep following us for future post about ways we will all make it through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Is a Stay at Home or Shelter in place a quarantine?.

The answer is no. Quarantine and Stay-At-Home are different things. Quarantine is an enforcement action by local or state health authorities which isolates an individual inside their own home or in a hospital because they have been diagnosed with or are suspected of being sick with a communicable disease. A business location can also be quarantined in the event it is the source of an outbreak of such a disease and needs to be cleaned. To be clear, the new sick leave provisions of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) may be triggered when an employee (human) is diagnosed with COVID-19 or when an employee is caring for someone who is medically affected by COVID-19.

Stay-At-Home and Shelter-In-Place orders are emergency control orders that apply to everyone in a given area, and most provide for business to continue for a wide variety of employers and activities, but limit non-essential travel and gathering. Stay-At-Home orders are not the same as quarantine.

Shelter at home or quarantine are going to be just about impossible to even pretend to enforce. Regardless of the terminology.

Only way would be martial law.  Hopefully people are smart enough to do it on their own.

How many does it take to derail the results of the quarantine? Let's say one person out of 20 disregards the rule of not coming to work if they are sick. Might as well be 19.

Well, if it gets bad enough to warrant an actual quarantine, and people disobey it, shoot to kill.

Well there was that one jackass who made a video saying he had tested positive and was out with others defying his quarantine. So they arrested his ass. Think that was down in Florida.
