New York virus estimates

New antibody studies in new York estimate 2.7 million New Yorkers had coronavirus
19453 (deaths) / 2700000 (estimated) = .7% mortality rate.
Early man walked away as modern man took control. Their minds weren't all the same and to conquer was their goal. So He built his great empires and he slaughtered his own kind, and he died a confused man and killed himself in his own mind... -
Absolutely catastrophic death rate.
"You planning on having a long relationship with that glass or are you going to drink it? Drink up, man. Maybe we can get another.” - Janis Joplin, 1970. -

Well we're right at 50k dead. So 100k seems well within reach in the next 60 days.

Agree.
.7% is .007. That's too many 0's.
Pray we never get to .0007. Right DieHard?

We need this shut down to last thru next spring possibly. Depending on what happens next of course.

You do that, you should quarantine your keyboard for the foreseeable future. ?
-
The caveat here is that they checked people out shopping. I would think that skews more towards those already less susceptible to the virus (younger people) and therefore not completely representative of NYC's population.

This isn't only new York City. It's all over the state.

100,000 dead is a farce when you see the devastation the shutdown will bring. Our money is gearing up to be as worthless as Confederate money in 1865.

Toss that in with at least a quarter mil dead. Sounds great.

The UN seems to think millions will die of starvation while we try to keep a million or so people from the inevitability of death. Good trade, yeah?

My bad, but the point still stands. A sampling of people that are shopping now probably isn't representative of the country as a whole

What's your point here?
That you can't use this study to determine the fatality rate of the virus
