I did not know this... Armed 'militias' are illegal.
-
I would imagine rioting, looting, assaulting police officers, arson, and vandalism all fall under the same category.
Carry on.

Are armed militias legal?
The Southern Poverty Law Center estimates there are 276 antigovernment militias nationwide, and while mere membership in a militia may not be illegal, some actions ( like an armed takeover of a federal building) may be. -
Good.

Read the 2nd amendment. "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
What do you not understand about the very clear words "A well-regulated Militia..."?
The last I knew all National Guard units are well-regulated and under the command of each individual governor of the state where that unit is located.
I don't think anyone can make an argument that armed mobs of men who associate together can be called well regulated, especially when they plot to overthrow an elected president and not a lying con.

Not only the National Guard Tex, at least not in Ohio:

True. Texas has both National Guard and Reserves. I'm not sure the Texas reserve units are state or federal though. In fact texas has the most reserve Units of any state in the country. Did not mean to slight them. Brain no worky sometimes.?
-
These are not actual reserve units. These do not have any federal affiliation at all. You can be up to 64 years old to join. They go thru a 3 month training in Columbus, I believe its one or two weekends a month.
-
Here's another one, not affiliated with the Feds in any way. I heard they have their eyes on Texas:
OHIO DEFENSE FORCE | Home of the Ohio Defense Force Home Guard

You read it. Once again, I have to educate you to be able to stop emoting and understanding. I didn't write the article. But civilian silly groups who pretend to be soliders on weekends in case a zombie apocalypse breaks out... are also
called "militias". They are just obviously not regulated. as in, the UCMJ etc.
So, it says, to paraphrase, "an official army, granted, is necessary to secure our country, HOWEVER, the RIGHT OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO ALSO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS likewise....shall NOT BE INFRINGED.

That argument has not been settled totally yet.

Another thread I won't delete.
So, it says, to paraphrase
Why "paraphrase"? If there's any part of the Constitution you should know by heart, this is it.
And why omit the part Ag emphasized, which provides the rationale for everything that follows?
We've had this discussion before, but that was long ago. It's worth having again.
