Some talking heads on TV were asking this question, so I ask it here:
Is this Tom Brady/Patrick Mahomes QB matchup the greatest in Super Bowl history?

In looking up the above SB matches, I also was seeing what I would call the "not so great QB matchups". Or, at least, the not so glamorous ones:
Joe Theisman vs. David Woodley
Trent Dilfer vs. Kerry Collins
Brad Johnson vs. Rich Gannon
Joe Flacco vs. Colin Kaepernick?

A few of my own:
1. Should they get rid of the whole Roman Numeral use for these things? I think so.
2. Eric Fisher, Chief LT ....once upon a time the #1 overall pick of the draft, is out with an Achilles Heel tear. Also out is the Chiefs RT, our old friend The Schwartz. Been out with a back injury most of the season.

Of course, it is a matter of looking back at the games historically. At the time I don't know if Elway's reputation was nearly what Mahome's reputation is now, but in looking back we can say, yes, that was a matchup of two of the greatest ever. Same may apply to Marino. Correct me if I am wrong, but the Montana/Marino matchup only happened in Marino's second year in the league. So clearly...at the time, he was not considered one of the greatest ever. Potentially, yes...given he like 48 TDs that year, a record by far a the time. He is now though considered one of the best ever. Fair to say?
And when we get to a point where this game, Brady vs. Mahomes, is viewed in historical context, it may get to be considered the premier matchup.

Again, begs the question: When will Ohio start up its sports gambling operations. Every state around us I believe already has it going. The holdup has been a turf war between the Ohio Lottery commission and the Gaming Commission. It has been dragging on now for like a year and a half. I understand that the Governor has been busy lately....but I think he could take 5 minutes and issue a directive: X or Y will be the body to oversea things. Period. Why is it not that simple? I see your state came down on the side of the Lottery. Here, I would think that the Gaming Commission would be the proper venue. They after all, oversee casino operations.

Because we are a backward red state at this point. It may even have to do with why we don't have sports gambling. There are still many troglodytes in the legislature and among the populace over both issues.
