If I wanted to invest.....or waste.....$200 right now BUF vs GB looks interesting to me.  Plus a few hundred bucks on our BROWNS for the fun of it !

  • Look at what the Bucs did.. They had to win 4 in a row just to get into the playoffs as a wild card team.. Then they beat, Wash, Nawlins and Green Bay on the road to get to the Super Bowl

Give some farkin respect! That is a tough road!

Then they dominated the heavily favored (yeah, I know -3.5 was the opening line) Chiefs...

I sincerely hope the Browns can match this feat next yr.

Then maybe some of you naysayers will understand my joy tonight..

Go Bucs, go Browns.. I hope we meet in San Diego next year..

  • The greatest QB - and probably player, played his entire HoF career during my adult lifetime.... pretty damn cool.

Much respect from me to the GOAT.

We have seen this before a couple of times.     A team gets on an absolute role at the end of the season and carries on to a Super Bowl win. :

2005 Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5-0, 2nd Place, AFC North Division)
Wild Card Playoff – at Cincinnati Bengals – (W) 31-17
    Divisional Playoff – at Indianapolis Colts – (W) 21-18
    AFC Championship – at Denver Broncos – (W) 34-17
Super Bowl XL – vs. Seattle Seahawks – (W) 21-10

2007 New York Giants (10-6-0, 2nd Place, NFC East Division)
Wild Card Playoff – at Tampa Bay Buccaneers – (W) 24-14
    Divisional Playoff – at Dallas Cowboys – (W) 21-17
NFC Championship – at Green Bay Packers – (W) 23-20 (OT)
Super Bowl XLII – vs. New England Patriots – (W) 17-14

Nevertheless, we do appreciate your joy.

Where have ya seen that before Nipper?

  • The resurrection of Fornette cannot be overstated. Clearly played like he did in his wonderyears at LSU. You could see he had slimmed down and regained that power/speed combination again. Set up Brady's PA passing all night. Looked like he had his acceleration back on that TD run. It was missing in Jax.

TB 31-9 final.  Just saw it again on our local news.  It was indeed a real butt-kicking over a good offensive team on all phases of the game.

Well at least KC got their ring last year and are favorites in 2021-2022 but it's never easy to get back again.

And now we all start over beginning with the draft, camps and get ready for another season.

    GO BROWNS 2021 !

  • Play off Lennie as he's referred to around here.

AB,, Gronk,  Ryan Succop.. All huge understated contributors..

But the biggest un noticed contributor of all?

Tristen Wirfs.. Dude has been a monster all year as a rookie..

And no one knows who he is. 😁

Nowhere because obviously if this was the first time for a team to ever play the SB in their home stadium.....any qualifiers beyond that would be the first also.  Win or lose it would have been the first.  Overdog or underdog it would have been the first.

Tristen Wirfs ?  Sounds like some kind of foot disease...... but now he has a ring !

Actually, almost anyone who is a regular here knew about him:    Recall that the Browns biggest need in the draft this past year was a Left Tackle.  Wirfs was one of  3-4 people we were all looking at, along with Wills, whom we chose.  Andrew Thomas, and Becton.   So, yea, we were pretty well aware of him.  He did a great job as a rookie.

You invited a response.  If you didn't want one, why didn't you STFU.

  • This may have been the best part of the game. Kevin Harlan with the Radio play by play...  🙂

And Evans set them all up with his defense clearing downfield threat. Plus a hellofa dive on the PI to get the call. Just a nice little touch to the heel and down he went.  LOL!

Is the game over already ?   😕

Yep, this game has to be one of the pieces of evidence supporting the need for a good OL before anything else..

Doesn't matter how many Extreme Doritos Playmakrzz you have if every play your QB is running for his life and the backup OL is called for holding or false start.

    @unsympathetic said:

The game looked like flag football when KC's offense was on the field.. 360 degree pivots, brutal shots on the QB and a young Fran Tarkenton.

Not coincidentally, Tarkenton made several but won zero super bowls.

Shouldn't see any doubts about the importance of OL play moving forward.  We will, but we shouldn't.

Interesting to see Bucs switch up the 2:1 coverage and do something they didn't in game 1 -- shut down Hill. Will that be the book for next season?

It was bad. Regardless of how old you are

  • Speaks to the need of having a LB or S capable of being able to bang around down low, run with and be hands on with TE's like Kelce.    KC was happy to put White or David on him and bracket Tyreek.
