I wasn't aware illinois was a slave state. Still, as long as theyre not taking anybody's money to pay for this farce than whatever. Do it.
Doing some quick math here, though, I see they have enough for 16 households. Really making a dent.
Also I don't think anything will appease them. The culture of fear, aggression and victimhood is far strongef than a couple bucks.

400,000 ÷ 25,000 = 16. Sounds like a half baked virtue signal to me.
