I know many people that hunt with a semiautomatic rifle

OK I give. My next deer hunting rifle in .308 (not really-I only dove hunt these days-not enough meat would be left to eat).

I don't see why the fact that you don't know anyone that owns one makes any difference to the conversation? I don't personally know anyone who owns a glock but I assume there are thousands of them out there.

My point was that I don't consider clips full of ammo exactly hunting. If you can't hit with one shot, then you are not much of a hunter. You're just a guy with the need for a lot of ammo until one shot out of 20 or 30 lucks out. Any damn fool can do that. It may not be illegal, but it damn sure isn't what I define as a good hunter. Try it with a 45 lb. recurve bow. Not that here is a hunter.?

So what? Again the 2nd amendment isn't about deer hunting. I think hunting is kind of creepy. I know that makes me hypocrite because I do eat meat and wear weather. I just think there's a little bit fucked up about wanting to kill something. Add it's probably not really a sport unless you go out Into the Woods barehanded.
Regardless those are perfectly legal and accepted hunting rifles. And they are the same as what you would call an assault weapon because they look different. And if you weren't a hypocrite you would want handguns eliminated because that's the vast majority of murders.

No one will ever get handguns off the streets and since that is the case, I'm gonna be better than someone pulling one on me. Who cares what you like? Who cares what you are good at? Seriously? Is your fun worth more than human lives? Thousands upon thousands of people die by handguns. Most at the hands of African Americans. A tiny fraction of murders are from rifles of any type but that's what you want to ban. But it's OK because tex likes his pistol. That's where the hypocrisy comes in.

Well ya got it up there before me. We carried one of those along in VN because I was good at it. My interpreter also had the M-16 and we both kept a sawed off M-1 Carbine that looked like a machine pistol since it also had the stock sawed off with 30 round mag with another taped upside down on it for a quick turnaround that could spit out 60 rounds on full auto just to keep heads down when we were driving some place not healthy known for ambushing vehicles. I don't know why I can't carry all those here since we are in an open carry state. Maybe if I write Teddy Cruz, huh??
