.  Do you see the Browns making any kind of trade of their top draft pick.  If so,  what would be the nature of the trade?

Yes I believe something involving Njoku and OBJ still remains on the table.. But not definite...

    2. It has been revealed that Justin Field has been diagnosed with Epilepsy.    How do you feel this should affect his draft status?

    Let the kid play...

    3. Former Browns  Safety TJ Ward has officially retired.   What do you think about that?

    Good for TJ...

    4.  Adrian Peterson is still out looking for an NFL gig.  Should a team sign him, or should he just retire?

    Retire with dgnity

    5.  In one publication,  Johnny Manziel was named the worst draft pick in Browns history.   Agree?  Disagree?  Or who would you give that label too?

Agree but Justin Gilbert and Cory Coleman come to mind as well...

    6.  In Europe,  about a dozen of the top money  European soccer teams are trying to form a "Super League",  where they just play each other, and make their own TV deals, and, of course, try to keep ALL the money.     Could you see something like that being attempted by any of the teams in the major  North American Sports Leagues?  Where say all the "Big market" teams, join together and say  "we don't need all these small market teams,  let's just us 10-12  teams  form a league and play each other and  keep all the piles of cash"?

    Yes cash rules everything...

We absolutely agree on 1 thru 5. Who knows on #6?

    Mike

Well... cash is usually the deciding factor in things... So yes,,, I see something like that happening here... its only a matter of when.. not if....

  • I'd like to win money making a prop bet that both QB's in a playoff game will pass for "more than 00 yards"

When you come right down to it $MONEY$  is the lifeblood of all sports from pee-wee to high school to college to professional play for money sports.

Without cash and/or the efforts of volunteers or paid to play sports it all comes to a grinding stop if the funding stops.

    Something to think about.   😕

Like betting on will the sun will come up tomorrow...... nobody will underwrite that bet.

There must be a win/lose element in it for a bet to occur, and often some "juice" in it for the underwriter.

I see a good chance of trading down in to the 2nd round.

    2. It has been revealed that Justin Field has been diagnosed with Epilepsy.    How do you feel this should affect his draft status?

It can't help.  I don't know how easy it is to manage to speculate on if it will hurt.

    3. Former Browns  Safety TJ Ward has officially retired.   What do you think about that?

    I don't care.

    4.  Adrian Peterson is still out looking for an NFL gig.  Should a team sign him, or should he just retire?

He's done.  Somebody may sign him.

    5.  In one publication,  Johnny Manziel was named the worst draft pick in Browns history.   Agree?  Disagree?  Or who would you give that label too?

Mike Junkin might have been worse

Pro leagues, probably not. They need all the teams to make it work.  The NCAA, I could see that.  I could see the SEC as an example just doing their own thing, then inviting select others...like OSU to join and play using their own rules and telling the NCAA to take a hike.

Actually,  since this is a money thing,  the Big Ten is actually a bigger revenue producer than the SEC:

Power Five NCAA conferences generated more than $2.9 billion in combined revenue for the 2019 fiscal year, according to federal tax records obtained by USA TODAY. The Big Ten Conference reported more than $780 million in revenue, the most of any conference, with the SEC second at just shy of $721 million.

What could happen is that  like  30 of the big name schools could coalesce and  go for all the money.  But, I don't know.....as TxAg says,  some of these schools have their own sweetheart deals that they may not want to share even with the other big boys.   Like Texas.

I think you merge the three #22 boys, Quinn, Weeden and Manziel together and build a monument to its futility.

You know in order to move ahead of Pittspuke this year we could make a trade with a very needy Tenn. team.

    Oh don't worry-they are at #22.??

And believe me when I say you have to pay through the nose through "donations" just to get on the list to "maybe" get decent season tickets for which they then charge an arm & a leg. Too many body part missing for my taste, so I look to make a deal for individual tickets via the internet.

5......lots of bad draft picks...i agree with all of them that was stated....i have to say, the worse trade in pro sports, in my opinion, at least as far as the browns, was mike oliphant for byner....one of the worse trades ever in pro sports...well, maybe not as bad when the cubs traded lou brock to saint louie for for for...well i don't even know who for....but it could not have been good because the cubs were still shitty during that era....
