Where does this leave us on the CB depth chart? Brown will most definately be playing corner this year, not safety, I don't think we'd have a capable nickel back.

With B-Mac being cut, means that Chancellor has a shot.

I just read on OBR that CJ Mosely got cut.

    Source: Browns cut C.J. Mosley

The Cleveland Browns have released veteran defensive lineman C.J. Mosley, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

Mosley broke his right ankle last season and had been rehabilitating the injury.

Mosley appeared in 12 games with one start last season, recording 18 tackles.

wow didnt really expect b-mac to get the axe. i would think with the talent level of our D he woulda made it. he wasnt all that but i did think he was pretty ok imo. i hope they have something up their sleeves.

Bmac caught me off guard a bit, while he isnt that good nor consistent he was still a bit better nickel back than adams...gotta make room for all those worn out old front 7 guys i guess...i see none of the sweating, huffing shuffling, whining about possibly being cut because they know they have lost a step old buffoons getting whacked yet..

Job security is fantastic but only if its guys that can still do their jobs...

    about 8 o'clock

I dont know this but I'm guessing teams hold off as long as possible to release list in attempt to hide them so they can be put on practice squad.

Well they were supposed to release them at 8pm. Its 9pm. They have till 9pm before the names will become public via the waiver wire. Someone got a link?

Bears cut WR Juaquin Iglesias last years 3rd round pick from Oklahoma. How do you give up on a guy after 1 year? Its not like there deep at WR either. I've never seen him play but he runs a 4.4 maybe he could develop into that deep threat. Anybody watch any of him in college?

    Adam Schefter per twitter:

Browns cut WR Bobby Engram, OL Scott Kooistra, DL C.J. Mosley., QB Brett Ratliff.

Browns cut: DB Larry Asante DB Chris Chancellor OL Paul Fanaika DL Clifton Geathers DL Travis Ivey RB Chris Jennings DB Brandon McDonald DL Swanson Miller OL Pat Murray QB Brett Ratliff DL Brian Sanford DB DeAngelo Smith WR Bobby Engram OL Scott Kooistra DL C.J. Mosley

Weird they didn't cut a single linebacker, thats 12 LB's on the roster, and only keep 7 DB's including safety's and CB's. Wright, Haden, Sorenson, Brown, Elam, Adams, Ventrone.
