Rob Ryan staying here?

  • It would be totally unfair to expect Rob (or ANY assistant coach) from pursuing their dream of being a Head Coach, regardless WHERE it is. I simply wish him well, whether he remains in Cleveland or gets a golden opportunity elsewhere. His hard work & aggressive nature is certainly deserving of enhanced opportunity.

Would I miss him were he to leave? Of course, but IMHO it's far better to lose Coaches who are good than to continually fire bad ones. After all, the Browns would continue to benefit from his teaching & schemes even after he leaves.

  • I hope we do all we can to keep him here

  • Watching the MNF game, Dallas has a ton of talent on their D but very liitle to show for it. Actually, they are awful. Can you imagine what Ryan could do with that kind of talent? Wade Phillips is a horrible coach.

  • Rob Ryan still has another season left on his contract. The only way he can get out of his deal is by taking a higher (head coach) position.

  • I dont think there's gonna be to many coach's fired in the off-season. With the likely possibility of no football next year, why pay a coach's salary you fired and the salary of the coach you hired when no football is being played?

Lock him into a contract. Thats the only thing we can do. Offer him more money but u know thats not gonna happen. Bruce Drennan is wrong alot tho so consider the source.

No contract he were to sign would prevent him from taking a promotion.

We could sign him to a contract that called him asst head coach, which would eliminate any team from getting him in a move like that, but if a team wants to make him head coach, he will go to be their head coach.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

  • Did you see the two names I predicted on Oct 25th to replace Singletary? (pats self on drunken back)

PS---I'll bet one of WRREBELS nads that Rob Ryan is gone within 2 weeks.

The one and only time losing is acceptable is when it involves your virginity.

Of Course, makes total sense now.

Nothing like links (I think) to a Russian porn site. You got rubles, we got the babes.

  • i say hell with it, make him head coach!
