Mangini All the Wrong Moves!

The Browns Board

  • so if the browns get stopped and still have a two possession game. you take the points when you get the chance.

ill agree with you on the punt near halftime. just go for it or kick a FG.

  • Eric Mangini seeled is Fate today, Making more and more horrible decisions. First off I would like to go back to right before the half when the Browns had the ball at the Bengals 33 yard line and we decided to punt the ball with 13 seconds left after a false start penalty! How do they not try a long field goal. Then with the Browns inside the 5 yard line down by 9 points they kick a field goal on 4 and 1 rather then go for a touchdown! Obviously it is time to change coaches after losing to the Bills and Bengals! Think about how good the Browns could be if Mangini wasn't there head coach! The Browns won some good games this season in spite of Mangini not because of him!

If you don't believe you can make a FG from the 34 yards line why in the hell would you try one from the 39 yard line? The problem I had with that drive is for some reason they didnt call that time out when Beuerlein was saying they should be calling time out.

all that aside, the clock management at the end of the half was DREADFUL!

  • And the Eagles score 28 points in the 4th quarter while we struggle to score 14 !

See the main diiference is that the eagles have talent and we don't. It's like saying "the saints were busy winning the superbowl last year while the browns were sitting on their asses wrapped in snuggies just watching the game!"

They were out of Dawson's range. You don't pass up a chance to pull to within one score so hillis4mayor1 can think you have some balls.

    You misspelled "seeled".

Hey Earl34 maybe football isn't your sport, i know lets have a spelling contest! Thats way more up your ally!

  • The clock management at the end of the half was done correctly. They had just taken a sack and the last thing they wanted to do at that point was give the ball back to Cincy with enough time left. Subsequently, they let it run down and then got some of the yards back. Then dumbass St Clair jumped so they had no choice but to punt rather than give Cincy the ball again if they didn't convert 4th and 12. They were way out of range even before the penalty, the ball was cold and not traveling well down there today.

it seems like some of the Browns Fans on the Browns Board Truly do not want to Win! What has Mangini done that has convinced you that he is a good coach! Either Holmgren Needs to come down and Coach or we need to hire Jon Gruden! My sources tell me that Gruden will be the Browns next head coach!

If it was against a tough team then your statement is perfectly valid.

But, Both our TD drives showed that we do have enough to get the win against the Bengals. We just did not give it enough effort. If we had gone on to get a touchdown in the drive where we had to settle for the fieldgoal then we would have won now. We are capable of winning the game and we just did not finish it.

I was ok with them being competitive until they proved they could get quality wins. I say they hit the reset button with the coaching staff because it's not like this team isn't capable of winning. I wouldn't object to Gruden coaching the Browns not at all. We'll see what happens though.

  • I can tell you jon gruden would crush mangini in a running race. Even with his weight loss, anyone that thinks other wise is foolish

Clearly some of the other posters on here have no clue how a good football team is built. Holmgren needs and most likely will just sit back and give mangini till his contract is up which is the end of next season.

imagine if some of the truly great teams had fans like we do. Chuck Knoll, Vince Lombardi, Bill Walsh would have never gotten anywhere.

Mangini has done far more to prove to me he's a good coach than you have done to convince me you are older than twelve!

BTW, if your sources are your Teachers, I would question their (that's the CORRECT spelling) knowledge.
