This gets scarier each and every day.

I found this interesting as did I today when I read about the 9/11 folks being tried by a Military Tribunal in Gitmo. Oh yea, civilian killings, etc.

Their ears kind of look alike too!

    Oil reserves in Libya

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Jump to: navigation, search

Oil reserves in Libya are the largest in Africa and the ninth largest in the world with 41.5 billion barrels (6.60×10^9 m3) as of 2007. Oil production was 1.8 million barrels per day (290×10^3 m3/d) as of 2006, giving Libya 63 years of reserves at current production rates if no new reserves were to be found. Libya is considered a highly attractive oil area due to its low cost of oil production (as low as $1 per barrel at some fields), and proximity to European markets. Libya would like to increase production from 1.8 Mbbl/d (290×10^3 m3/d) in 2006 to 3 Mbbl/d (480×10^3 m3/d) by 2010–13 but with existing oil fields undergoing a 7–8% decline rate, Libya's challenge is maintaining production at mature fields, while finding and developing new oil fields. Most of Libya remains unexplored as a result of past sanctions and disagreements with foreign oil companies.[1]

Cumulative production through 2009 was 27 Gbbl.[2] Given the stated number, this would be 65% of reserves.

The drilling of oil wells in Libya was first authorised by the Petroleum Law of 1955.[3] The National Oil Corporation is the largest oil company of Libya.

Remember when some tarty little weasel came on here, and lambasted Bush for intentionally going to war for oil, so his oil buddies

could get rich with the really high gas prices?

I wonder where the little weasel is now. Hopefully, he grew up and is a Tea Partier...

(maybe that's where Shep is now... a Tea Party.... @@)

It goes to prove that all that "outrage" was feigned for political reasons. And now, so far,

few of them have the honesty to admit that the shoe is on the other foot... the Left foot. @@

Actually John, Bush didn't get into office by spouting the hatred of milirtary intervention. Haliburton, torture, oil and insurance comanies and the rich then doing an about face.

Obammy's a little closer to LBJ who got a pass for a really huge war thanks to throwing a few bucks to the libs in the form of the great society.

Obama is now the same as Bush in his politics/economic/national security driven Middle East "intervention" policies.

Mask as Humanitarian, but go in for the Oil. I cant speak for others but for me I dont have any issue IF a President would lay out the economic realities and say

the truth..... (I know they cant) but for some reason even understanding the relationship with PR/Voting behaviors I WANT a President to be honest even though they

            really can not be....
